At my experience at App State this is the worst professor I've ever had. In my class, Martinelli assigned homework for every class period. This homework took most people 2-3 hours to complete. He then went over the homework in class, calling on everyone to provide long, specific answers. If you don't an answer he will ROAST you. Great hair though.

AM realizes that you don't really want to learn a thing about accounting, so he'll make sure you pass with at least a C-. He likes going on tangents about gold, how everyone's identity is going to be stolen through the internet someday, & why he lives in a cave.

Every class I wish I listened to the other reviews here. This guy is a straight up freakshow with a limited grasp on the english language. One can barely understand anything he says, and rarely does he even attempt to teach anything. The one thing I can say about him is that ive learned to appreciate being taught something before being graded

Absolutely terrible. So terrible, that I am taking the time to warn you all about how god awful this professor is. I have never been more disappointed in a teacher in all 13 years that I have been a student. If the class is offered online, you will be better off because taking the class will require you to learn everything on your own anyways.

If you aren't an accounting major and you just need to take this class, I highly recommend taking him. You can't understand anything he says and you won't learn a thing, but if you got to class, do your homework, and got to the accounting lab, it's an easy A. Spends almost every class just going over homework from start to finish

All I have to say is WHY is he still teaching here......... Cannot understand a word he says. When you try to speak with him in his office hours still cannot hardly communicate with him. If you want to teach yourself an entire semesters worth of accounting then take this class. If not, DO NOT.

Very hard to understand b/c of his accent. Lectures are just him reading the book to you. Homework assignments every week but he drops the lowest three. Tests have a curve so it's not super hard to do well. If you are not an accounting major and just need the credit his class is alright. If you need to actually learn something don't take his class!

Martinelli is very hard to understand due to his thick Italian accent. Homework assignments twice a week, but you can just not do it or do parts of it 3 times because he drops 3 lowest grades. Tests are hard, but he gives a huge curve. He makes you participate in class by calling people out to answer homework questions. Gives 9 absences.

He does not know how to teach. If you are good at teaching yourself material you will be okay, if not you are screwed. Curves the tests a lot. Doesn't make sense 90% of the time. Italian accent. Pretty sure sent the class to hell several times. Don't take him.

I actually somewhat enjoyed the first accounting class I took because although it was a tough class, I had a good teacher. Martinelli's class was not only difficult but I do not feel like I learned anything. I did't get credit for he business school due to my grade in this class and it is still my only college grade below a B+

If you want to learn anything, then take someone else. He sucks. You'll get an easy A if you can handle his horrible personality. Tells the whole class they are going to hell. This class is a joke. "Okkkkkk."

Class is easy if you pay attention, if you dont expect to get called out. Tests are way longer than an hour, best if you dont have a class directly after.

He's a nice guy with a wicked awesome (and matted) toupee. It took me a few weeks to get used to his strong Italian accent, but I don't think he still fully comprehends the English language. I learned accounting by reading the book, not by listening to him. Just show up to class and you're guaranteed an A.

Martinelli is the greatest gift from God on this planet. It's a free A...how can anyone hate him? Okay, you can hate him if you're an accounting major and you learn nothing from him, but if it's required and you hate accounting, go take his class and get a guaranteed A on a subject that sucks! AWESOME! His hair is amazing too.
