Mrs. Abbott was my private vocal coach. She talks too much, wastes lesson time and she never tries to get to know you, which is essential for the coach-student relationship. Also, she doesn't let Freshmen have a say in their repertoire, nor does she let them participate in recitalsperforming opportunities. I got a C because of a hidden policy.

Ms. Abbott is by far the best vocal teacher in the area. She teaches students to sing healthfully, properly and can help almost anyone of any talent improve their vocal technique. She is passionate about teaching voice and it is apparent in her kind demeanor as well as her compassion for her students. She is definitely the BEST!

She's usually late to class and runs way past the ending time. Mostly she plays music loudly and yells over it. Don't trust the syllabus and she uses sexual terms to describe music. The study guides were helpful though and there is opportunity for extra credit. Attending concerts is required.

I can't think of anything she could have done better. I had her for both MU 100 and my voice lessons, and she was amazing. My first lesson alone made such a difference that people at church complimented my singing the following weekend. I recommend her to anyone, especially voice students. She is by far the best vocal instructor at Mount Union.

A little bit difficult for an intro to music course that is required as a gen ed. However, gives tests exactly according to her notes. Extremely helpful when you need questions answered and finds time to see you outside of class if you need further clarification. Overall good professor; can't expect class to be cake just because it's music.

This was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. She lectures throughout the entire class period, often expecting us to stay late, but when test time comes much of what she says is not on her test. The only plus is that she emails the notes to you a few days before the test. I would suggest that you AVOID this professor.

She's one of those teachers who takes her gen ed class seriously. She likes to lecture in class, but she never tests you on what she said. She emails you all of the notes and study guides a few days before her tests, so don't even bother taking notes or paying attention and bring some other work to class instead.
