She rubs some people the wrong way but if you aren't lazy and/or full of pathetic excuses for your laziness you'll be fine. Just go to class and do the work--there's really not a lot of it. If you don't understand what she wants it's probably your fault, not hers. She's a good adviser and very laid back and hilarious if you give her a chance!

Comment:

Prof. Carr tries to cover a lot of material in a very short amount of time, so it's very easy to get lost when taking notes. However, her study guides for the test clearly lay out which works she expects you to know, and her guide to slide identification tells you exactly what she's looking for in your answers. Overall, a decent Prof.

I have taken almost every course this woman has taught: Survey 1, northern ren, italian ren, Renaissance Women, and even independent study. She was also my comp advisor. While those outside of art history have had issues with her iconographic analogies, for those wanting to study art history Allegheny is a diamond in the rough. Definitely helped me

She is very passionate about what she teaches. If you go to class and pay attention, you will do fine. Just study for the slide exams and thats pretty much guarantees you at least a B. Shes really not that bad.

She gave my friend 1 extra night to do a paper after admitting to giving her the wrong information about it. She then graded the wrong paper instead of the revision, and later said she would give her a chance to 'redeem herself' after she was unprepared for that day's presentation. Evil woman, very unwilling to admit mistakes/ accept fault.

This class is for witches and wizards. If you're looking for practical knowledge, this class isn't for you. The material is bogus and the prof., if you can even call her one, is bad. Lectures are random and disorganized, outside videos are bizarre and pointless. This class is a waste of time.

I was very inspired and impressed with her in class, until I spent three weeks with her in France. It was the most awful experience of my life. She didn't care about the safety and happiness of her students at all.
