I feel bad for you if you don't have the opportunity to take Amy as a professor. She is thoughtful, invests a lot of time to get to know you, and genuinely cares about the hospitality industry. I have taken multiple classes with her and the passion that she teaches with makes you want to learn.

Amy is an absolute doll for a professor. It's a lecture heavy course but she makes it so fun with her personality and attitude. Study the book for the tests, if you do you won't fail at all. Certification must be acquired in order to pass the class but it's not as scary as it sounds. Do yourself a favor and take Amy.

Amy is a great professor and is dedicated to making sure you understand what you are doing. She gives you the resources you will need to pass the class. Pay attention and READ THE BOOK! There are a lot of short answers on her tests. The final is a certification; if you don't pass it you fail the class. Not as scary as it sounds; just study.

I loved Amy as a teacher. She is extremely helpful, and always tries to keep class fun. She always says you need the book, but I would not waste the money. I didn't use the book once, and I received a high B. Her tests are pretty straight forward. Also, each test gives many many opportunities for extra credit. Take her class!

Amy is great!! She's very easy to talk to. Ask her any questions you want. If she doesn't know it, she'll find out. Talks fast, but she warns class of that on the first day and says to remind her that she needs to slow down. She will repeat herself...Very accommodating and knowledgeable of the hospitality industry.

Amy is passionate about all of her classes. She is extremely helpful & if you have questions just ask her door is always open. She is very compassionate & empathetic and works with you if you have a difficult situation. She goes a bit fast but you need to apply the principles. She is one of the best teachers I've had and recommend her highly.

Excellent teacher to take if you want to learn. Cares about students and wants them to do well. Very helpful, only teacher I know who scheduled an optional time for students to come in and get extra help preparing for a test. Taking too many of her classes (especially certification) in one semester can be overwhelming spread them out.
