I love Dr. Holbrook so much. I took multiple classes with her. She was always relaxed and she joked a lot in her class. She gave a lot of work but had a lot of leniency as to when it was due. She was always willing to help when needed. She is so knowledgable! She made the textbooks we used.

Holbrook doesn't give clear grading criteria for ANYTHING, and if an answer is more than two sentences, she refuses to read it and will not give you credit. She is not kind and is not easily approachable. Don't expect a lot of help from her in class without her making you feel stupid.

I love Dr. Holbrook! She's hilarious and soft-spoken; I always felt very relaxed and happy in her class. The class I took is challenging but she really wants you to succeed and do as well as possible. She lets you redo assignments for higher credit. I get to take another class from her and I'm definitely excited for that.

Schubert, that was the class and did I learn A LOT about Schubert. This class is challenging but she is very fair and will help if you ask. The homework is time consuming but will help you on the exams and to be a better theorist.

I totally disagree with these comments! She is extremely fair and always willing to work with her students! Yes, the homework is hard and time consuming, but it's test related, plus she gives detailed comments on every assignment! If you can't handled her class, perhaps you can't really handle being a major! No offense.
