I hate it when professors use jargon just to confuse nonmajors. I also hate it when they suck up to you once they figure out you know how to interpret independently. Even after graduating I recall it as a negative experience. I learned nothing new.

This was one of my fave courses freshman year. I really liked writing about pop culture. And she was more than willing to write me a recommendation when I wound up leaving TCU, even though she hadn't seen me in 2 yrs and I was in MN... wonderful woman

I ended up learning a lot from the class, but i won't lie i hated her most of the time that i was actually in the class. Final: entire paper in class with citations. Class: lots of reading and quizes over the reading.

Her class was great, and TCU should be sad to lose her to stupid California. All of the books we read were wonderful, and she's very kind and fair. She knew every student by name within a week.

excellent excellent teacher. she is amazing at analyzing literature and really clarified the books that we read. it's obvious she's passionate about her subject, and that also makes her great. definently one of my most enjoyable classes ever.

I can't believe what all these ratings say. She does wear black a lot- so what! What matters is that she is a REALLY great writing teacher. Enjoy writing on things that are interesting to you (movies, ads, pop culture). You do have to read for this class.
