You need to put in a lot of effort if you want a good grade in her class. Meet with her to discuss a paper and show her you care and that really helps your cause. Skim readings and pay attention (don't skip) during class and work EXTREMELY hard on your protfolio and you will be fine. But if you want an easy A, look elsewhere.

If you plan on keeping a good GPA or even getting a good grade in this class, DONT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. She does not give out A's! And she WILL RUIN YOUR GRADE. Other Professors that teach this course grade so much easier. Find a new professor, dont take her class. She will DESTROY YOUR GRADE. SHE NEEDS TO LAY OFF THE HARSH GRADING.

Gets a bad rap that she doesn't deserve - she tells you exactly what she wants. Nothing is vague. Teaching method is crystal clear as are the expectations and requirements for your papers. Fair teacher, fair grader. Extremely helpful. She basically guides you in conferences to what you can write to get the A. Take her.

had her for Victorian novel last semester. Every one on here that says she is hard is crazy. Yea... we had a lot of work but I got an A and did not find her hard at all.
