Eis is WONDERFUL. She is incredibly caring and knows what she's talking about. Her feedback is clear and descriptive (she will literally note the exact frame), and is available to help you throughout your filmmaking process. I've meet with her outside of class to discuss everything from movies to jobs to changing my major. Please take her class

Professor Eis is a super sweet lady. She is very passionate about film and it shows in her lectures. ENG 250 is film & formal analysis so we watched a movie on Tuesdays and then went over it on Thursdays. We had to write 5 small (1-2 page) response papers on the films in class and then had one big paper where we had to analyze a scene. Easy class.

Prof. Eis is a very understanding and flexible professor. She will work with you to make sure that you can succeed in her class. She tends to talk a lot during the class, taking up most of the time, but that might not be a bad thing if you are someone who is uncomfortable with opening up in a class room.

Native American Art is an interesting class. The topic is vast & it would be better to condense, to allow for more explanation & class discussion. She cleary knows her stuff - lectures were a bit dry but informative. She grades hard. If she taught Art History more often - I think she we would be great, needs more lecture practice.

Mrs. Eis is a great teacher! Tests are simple as long as you can remember the movies clearly, paper wasn't hard, she is willing to critique your paper if you get it done early so take advantage of the free points.

I have to agree with the previous "rater": class is easy -- yet it's not easy; the paper is fair enough, just write with proper cinematic context in mind. Still, it's the tests -- not the 1st one on terms -- but the ones on movie scenes & symbolism that are ambiguous -- so beware. My grade = 3.9

I thought this was going to be an easy class. Not as easy as I thought, too hard to study for tests. VERY tricky exams and hard to take notes in class. Talks fast and does not write on the board. Nice lady and approachable. The paper is not too bad just write a lot, and she won't grade hard.

Great class. Even if you are a big movie buff, you will learn a lot of cool stuff that you wouldn't necessarily notice without having it pointed out. She is a good professor and the class is really easy. Definitely a good class to take to fulfill the Art requirement.

She is very nice and understanding of the students. She’s a very slow talker and most of the stuff she goes over is common sense and is spelt out in the descriptions, like “what is a pan out, or in?â€. I recommend paying attention during the movies and napping during the lectures.

Take this. I dont think I ever cracked my book open and I did pretty good in the class. Basically you watch some movies, listen to lecture about it and as long as you go to class you will be fine. I really recommend this class, especially if you are like me and not wanting to take Art History!
