He wears red socks every day. He will play catch with you in class if you're feeling sleepy. He's just a great dude and you will leave his class knowing everything he taught and not even know how you learned it. He's good like that.

Dr. Arnold is by far the best professor I've ever had. If you want an A in that class, do the work and you will get it.

He gets too off topic to listen to, so I have close to no notes. He wastes so much time on stories that are so far from relevant to the Constitution. It would be different if he had powerpoints but he doesn't. So you have to listen to what comes out of his mouth when more than half doesn't even matter.

I took Arnold for 2 semesters and grew to love him. He assigns 12 page readings, then you have to write essays on what you read. It gets a little overwhelming sometimes but as long as you do the essays you will pass. He is more than willing to help you and allows retests. Will call you out in class so be ready!

Dr. Arnold is very kind but the way he teaches takes time to get used to. If you read what he gives you (which gets annoying) and write the papers he assigns, then you will walk out with an A and you will certainly learn the material. When you do the writings even though it can be hard, you will actually understand the information.

Very nice guy. Didn't care for his class though, for a general education class it's a little ridiculous, you have to read and write alot of essays. An A is possible, and he will help you, it's just alot of work to get there. If you love history, this is your class, if you don't care for history, find another professor.

He absolutely loves his job and students. There isn't a textbook, he assigns reading for every class that you have to write a paper. Most learning is done outside of class and then gone over inside. He's extremely straight forward, and if you talk to him he'll give you extra credit. If you're interested in history and don't mind working take him!

Such a good person. Always willing to help you with anything in class or out of class. All you have to do is complete the assignments and show him you are trying and care about your grade and you will pass. He tells you the exact questions that are on the tests. He always makes what you need to know very clear. TAKE HIM!!

great person/professor, geeky guy but really funny with a good sense of humor, super helpful and gives a lot of insightful knowledge on history. Gonna have to work and do lots of work to get your grade but you'll learn a lot. Counts grades of D2L, class participation. Take him, good prof, good class!

Arnold is an awesome professor... His humor is corny at first, but this man seriously loves his job and his students. He is extremely straight forward, and always responds to emails quickly. His grading system is different- pass or fail, I enjoyed this because I love history. Great professor!

Easiest professor at KU. Don't listen to the comments that say he his a hard professor. All you have to do is read two books, JStor articles, and you will get an A no problem. There are 14 assignments and if you do 10, you will get an A. His grading system is pass/fail, but he is very lenient when it comes to grading.

Very wacky grading system where the tests mean virtually nothing because you either pass or fail. His grade is based on completion of 4 assignments and the class is very difficult. Unless you like history I suggest you don't take the class.

Dr. Arnold is hard, and he knows it. He tells you how to get an A from the start, and you need to work hard for it. I got a B, and I wouldn't have even gotten that far if it wasn't for him. I was going through a rough time last year with a loss in my life, and he was very helpful and kept me at that B-level. Thank you, Dr. Arnold.
