Comment:
I really like Andrew. He's a really nice guy. I think he really cares about his students and the subject he's teaching. But he's soooooo boring. I literally cannot focus because he trails off and his voice is just super monotone. He actually has a lot of interesting things to say and you'll learn a lot if you can stay awake

He posts lecture slides online - but expect some things to be on the exam that aren't on the slides. He's not a tough grader when it comes to papers, but is a little tougher on exams. DO THE READINGS - YOU WILL NOT PASS IF YOU DO NOT

Andrew is a wonderful professor. As a grad student relatively new to political economy, he introduced the concepts, spend time helping us learn and really encouraged us to engage with the theory in interesting and insightful ways. One of the best profs at CU. He challenges you, which will make you a better scholar & question fundamental constructs

Easy classes. Not too much work. Don't have to do the readings, except for the book report. He talks the entire class and doesn't care if you are on your computer. Doesn't ask for much class interaction. Doesn't give any constructive feedback on assignments - he only says "good job". Best part of the class is that there are no tests.

One of my fav profs. Taken 2 grad courses with him. He helps with conceptualizing essays and has frequent check-ins. He gives helpful feedback, which a lot of grad profs don't. He really really cares. He also is incredibly insightful on political economy and helps in class when you are leading discussion. He definitely challenges students.

one of the most boring classes I've taken. He just talks the entire time and his power points are poorly made. He is nice, but just is not good at making the class interesting/interactive. Prompts for papers were poorly explained what he wanted.

He's really nice. I can't understand all of the negative comments on here. I would recommend going to class, but it's not a big deal if you miss a bit. The readings are important, but there's so many. Here's a tip: My class made a google spreadsheet, assigned one reading to each person and put our notes up there before a test

Gets off topic, somewhat arrogant, obnoxious, definitely opinionated but intelligent. Nice guy, likes to be buddy buddy with his students, will teach you absolutely nothing but you will plow through pointless readings that will effectively make you despise huge comm mergers, ex. Viacom.

Words I would use to describe him: annoying, bombastic, opinionated, irritating, lacking substance. You'll enjoy the end of his classes because, well, they're over.
