One of my favorite profs. here at UGA. Attendance is taken by a sign-in sheet about every other class, but he only uses the grade as extra credit, it wont count against you at all. Each class you'll take notes, but he is very put together and gives detailed Powerpoints so you dont have to read the textbook. Tests aren't too if you prepare well!

Attendance is so important. You're not tested off of the book, just lectures. You have to REALLY study to get an A on the tests. That's the only thing you're graded off of. I'd suggest recording lectures with a voice recorder. Very nice guy though, and will let you look at old tests in his office.

Professor Grundstein is passionate about what he does, and is also super nice! The class is lecture based, and you're only graded on the three tests you have + attendance (which is taken randomly and you can get someone to sign you in). The tests are straigtforward and based on the study guides, but if you don't prepare enough they can be tricky.

Dr. Grundstein was a fantastic professor! He made class interesting and was very easy going. I got the book but didn't read it much. Almost all of the test material comes from his lectures. The book is just an additional resource. He drops the lowest test grade and takes attendance randomly. If you have good attendance, you will get extra credit.

Super nice guy and very easy to follow. his lectures were simple, but make sure you really study up at least a week before tests. also, taking the lab with this class helps. overall, a really good prof.

I absolutely loved Mr. Grundstein. I had no interest in weather and climate previously, but he was so passionate and made me quite fascinated in the subject. However, even though it sounds easy, many students got low grades because they never showed up to lecture/ studied for the tests. So if you aren't willing to study on your own, don't take this

You need to take notes, regularly attend class, and study a decent amount. You have 4 tests and the 'lowest of the first three are dropped, and that's your grade folks! He's so kind and caring that if anyone talked I thought how dare you talk over our precious Andy. Super willing to help clarify anything and he gives you study guides before the tes

Overall a pretty easy going professor. There are only 3 test and a final. There is no additional homework or essays. Just show up to class and take notes. Tests are exactly what he goes over in lecture. Funny and chill guy

For a Lecture Heavy class, it was pretty easy. I would not recommend it without the lab though. The lab helped me to understand it much better. Dr. Grundstein is very nice but loves going off on tangents.

This class was pretty straightforward. Grade is based off of three tests and a final; one test can be dropped. The lectures covered a lot that wasn't on the tests, and the tests were moderately difficult.

Grundstein is a super cool guy, but this class was super hard for me, my only B this semester. Tons of material was covered on each test and there's only 3 tests and a final with one test grade being dropped. The final was super easy, but each test was difficult in my opinion. The lectures can get dry and boring, but he's passionate about weather.

Chill class. He just gives lectures, you take notes, and then four tests, which are the only things you're graded by. (Granted he will delete your lowest score!) He's very excited and interested about what he's teaching, but sometimes I find it kinda boring. The tests are just multiple choice but they were kinda hard tbh.

Grundstein is literally the sweetest man ever. Always willing to help and cares a lot about his students and the subject. Lectures aren't posted online so go to class because his tests are based on the lecture and he bumps your grade up a point if you have good attendance. Textbook isn't really necessary. Tests are kind of unpredictable.

I struggled with this class personally because I am bad at memorizing things, but had a bunch of friends that did very well. Dr. Grundstein is an amazing professor and one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Would definitely take him again, just maybe not the class. His tests were from the notes, I just sucked at taking them.

Professor Grundstein is really nice and passionate about geography. He lectures for all of his classes, but they are not boring. He gives extra credit. His tests are not too difficult as long as you thoroughly study. He does not post powerpoint online so you have to go to class to get them. I recommend if you are looking for a laid back, easy class

Grundstein was a cool guy, but you really need to go to class and take notes if you want to do well, or get notes from others. He rarely takes attendance and the only grades you get are tests and the final. I have literally studied for hours for a test and only made a C. He's a cool professor but the tests are confusing.

He is very passionate about his field, and tries his hardest to ensure that he is able to relay concepts without overwhelming students. He is very patient, and he is happy to help students who may be alienated by certain content. He hardly takes attendance, but you should go to class to avoid being puzzled.

He was honestly a great teacher. I've heard some say he's a dull teacher, but I would like for you to go up there and try and teach a bunch of uninterested kids climatology in the mornings. Not many surprises on the tests. Just write down the notes and lectures in class, and you will get an A.
