He is very passionate about what he is teaching. He does state his opinions on things quite often, but I didn't feel threatened by it in any way. There was also a ton of freedom when it came to papers and exams. Great class!

Absolutely amazing! Best lecturer that I've had at Yale so far. Content of the course was very interesting and relevant. He was also just a really nice guy. Emphasizes understanding trends and interpreting data rather than boring memorization. Makes SOCY130 a must-take.
