Skotnicki is by far the best professor at MC & would strongly advise everyone to take him b4 graduation. He gives a lot of weekly readings & gives 5 papers throughout the semester, however will he will make time to meet with u & discuss the content. He is a tough grader but gives wonderful feedback. He truly cares about his students & their success

Dr. Skotnicki is one of my favorite professors at Manhattan College and I highly recommend that you take him! If you choose to take him, take Criminal Justice Ethics (RELS 399). It is an amazing experience and you will be so thankful that you have been given an opportunity such as this class!

Nobody wants to take the Religion Classes but this guy makes it bearable. He is hilarious, but he is a really tough grader. Do not slack off, participate and show up and you will do fine.

Dr. Skotnicki was a really insightful professor and has a great sense of humor. As someone non-affiliated with Religion, he was very understanding and never made me feel bad about that. Explores the themes of religion and how it relates to all society. Has a great course structure, keeps you engaged, cracked tons of jokes. Easily my favorite class

Attendance is of the utmost importance for this class! He engages the class in an unconventional way, that is the class sits in a circle. It is very difficult to figure out what will be on his tests, also they are all essay format. He gets you to understand Jesus, with a little added socialism.

I'm shocked that he received anything negative. I take his class at Rikers Island and it is the most interesting/life changing experience of my life and i owe it allto Dr. Skotnicki. He takes class very seriously but also respects all his students and never has anything bad to say but still doesn't baby you. All around amaze. He isnt a priest tho..

Professor Skotnicki is very helpful. He has made me feel at home when I was confused. He will help you out if you ask him to. And his classes - awesome... Interesting classes where all the students participate. I would recommend him for any course he teaches. Make sure you do your readings and assignments, because they help you ace your tests.

Skotnicki is a good guy. Class is mandatory but isn't so bad. Sometimes he can get really annoying and tends to be redundant.But he really will have you thinking and alter your perception a bit, which is what I like about this class. Easy content, work, and overall easy class. The midterm and final may seem bad, but are in fact very easy.

He is by far one of the best teachers at MC...he is very smart and well if u do the readings you'll guarantee yourself an A in his class...he is also very funny and energetic hell make it hard for u 2 fall asleep with all his story about being wasted...if not that then his cursing ought to keep you laughing...but great guy i recommend him to anyone

Skotnicki is an awesome professor. If you are going to be an ass and expect him to give you a good grade just because, then dont take him. He is not at all moody and he is one of the best professors at MC. He is extremely intelligent and loves what he teaches. You do need to do the readings. Tests are straightforward if you study notes/readings.

The readings are a little challenging, and he doesn't always discuss them - he'll get off on a tangent. Still fairly easy to get an A, so long as you show up, take notes, and attempt the readings. His constant joking about getting **** and high get old really quick. I didn't know he was a priest?

Great teacher, makes class and the material fun. Sometimes he tries too hard, which can be annoying, considering that he hides he's a very conservative priest and talks only of his liberal days. Do the readings, participate, and you'll leave the class with a good grade, and a new outlook on life and religion.
