Definitely a tough marker. Feedback can be critical and vague. Attendance matters to him, especially for discussion groups. A lot of reading to do. His PowerPoint notes can be vague and he doesn't expand on them a lot. I wouldn't take another class with him.

He is an overall great professor, but he is a tough grader on papers (really have to watch your grammar). He is pretty hilarious and has a genuine interest in what he is teaching. He really explains everything clear and concise. Definitely recommend him!

Articulate, highly intelligent man but pauses during lectures while the class awaits in awkward silence. Very fair with marking and his feedback on written assignments were valuable. He may be monotone but he's a funny guy

Tougher course... Knowing how to write is extremely important. There's 2 tests/a script/essay/ and participation marks. Woolford is always willing to help his students. Wants them to succeed. He wrote the textbook, so he references it a lot. Participation marks is the best part of class.

I really liked this prof. Contrary to what I have read here he did NOT talk down to his students in any way, but rather sought to understand each student's opinion or criminology through weekly discussion groups. His tests are no problem as long as you come to class and study hard. Great sense of humor, and quite likeable.

Tests cover course material but he likes to throw in random info from the text book. His monotone voice will lull you to sleep as will his embarassingly long pauses in the middle of sentences while he thinks. He's not much help after class and is a hard marker on essays & short answer Qs. Wouldn't take a class of his again - he's soooo boring! Blah

Good prof with clear notes. Tests were average/fair. Participation marks worth 10% of the entire grade were almost guaranteed and made a big difference in the fianl grade. I would recommend this prof for SOC 2510 (Criminology).

Criminology. I did not like the way he lectured, he talked in a very downward manner to the class. He was fast at answering e-mails. His tests were hard and participation points were given, so go to class! I just really all around did NOT like this prof, his teaching style or the tests. Blagh

Dr. Woolford is great. Yes, his courses are challenging and he marks fairly hard, but he's fair, and is always willing to provide extra help. His lectures are clear and concise, he's considerate of student's needs, returns grades at lightning speed, and is funny, down to earth, and approachable. Highly recommended to those who want a challenge.

I had him for 77.251 and he was great! For 77.261 he's changed.. he is a bit of a-hole and like said before, it's impossible to get full marks. He grades VERY unfairly. I had numerous complaints from other students about this as well.

Guy is ok teacher but marking he's a bit of an a-hole marks as if it is impossible to get full marks which is bull. He usually drops the mark TA gives. Has no consideration for students circumstances.
