He cares a lot about his students and hosts weekly problem sessions to help, and encourages students to be in the math center, but gives bad lectures and his tests are usually hard and irrelevant to the lectures.

He is a nice guy, but has the most boring voice and is so hard to keep your attention on him. He assigns homework over problems he hasnt gone over, his grading is all over the place. Sometimes he is an easy grader other times very hard. He did not put in grades online until 3/4ths of the way through the semester so I had no clue what my grade was.

Dr. Miller is one of those teachers that you don't realize you appreciate until after the class. He was an incredibly fair grader, answered many questions during lecture, and held multiple review sessions for exams. He understands that many students have already taken calc in high school while others are learning it for the first time.

Comment:
Did not enjoy Dr. Miller's class. He is very unclear at times, talks extremely slowly, and is extremely nitpicky at times on grading. Grading is not weighted fair, as a small mistake can lose you 5% on an assignment. Makes himself very available to students but is not very helpful sometimes. Will assign things he hasn't taught yet.

Dr. Miller is very understanding and passionate about math. He wants to help his students succeed--if you're willing to put in the effort. He held optional Wednesday study sessions (all TA's there and Dr. Miller). He had a paper with questions to work on and you could ask questions too. Easy class, easy A. Put in the effort, you're in college

Don't expect to learn much in here from Professor Miller. He's a nice guy and understands that we're students, but his teaching style and errors here and there detract from the learning one should receive for a subject like Calculus.

He is the chair of the Math department. He speaks quietly during the lectures but him and his TA's are always available for clarity. Tests were graded very fair and the exam review sessions were very helpful.

Great Professor, he is an understand person and cares about his students. He holds review sessions for his tests that seem not to help, but one has to ask questions in order for it to help you. Group study sessions also helped. My least favorite thing about the class was the online homework, however he is nice and is my favorite professor!!

Dr. Miller was a very helpful professor. He was clear in lectures and used A LOT of examples. Also, he would post review material and hold review sessions before each major exam. Fair warning, the review material is always harder than the exam actually is. His exams were difficult, but Dr. Miller was very fair and gave partial credit.

He is genuinely interested in making sure you understand the material. Even in a class of 120 students, he knew my name the first time I came to his office hours to speak to him. I am excited to take more classes with him in my undergraduate studies.

He's very good about helping you if you ask him. He also does a lot of explanation about where theorems and such come from, if you like understanding the "why." I willingly signed up for another class taught by him--I think that says everything right there.

Out of the three Calc. professors I've had, he is by far the best. I wish I had him for Calc. 4 right now but he isn't teaching it this semester. By the way he's American.

Dr. Miller has a funny voice and is very tounge-in-cheek funny, if you don't have a serious sense of humor. He's a pretty good teacher too. His TA is on crack.
