tried to make lecture material interesting but the course is impossible to understand within the time given. he read off lecture notes often and it got so detailed that i gave up trying to understand during lectures. make sure you read the textbook well ahead of class because it is complicated and boring materials to get through or you will be lost

The problem is not with the prof but with the course. The content really isn't that interesting and has a vocab specific to the course. If you make the effort you will get the grade you want. It is hard not to tune out in lecture but while listening it's obvious he makes clear explanations.

This class is SOOOO hard. If you don't have to take it, don't! Santi is boring and he drags on with the material. His exams are hard and even after attending most classes and studying I didn't do very well. He seems like a nice enough guy, and he loves his subject, but sometimes it's hard to comprehend what he's talking about.

Comment:
This course has the work-load of 2 courses and the material is difficult. Don't take this class unless you're taking less than 5 courses at once. Otherwise, all your grades will suffer. Santi will try to help you but he seems to forget that we all don't have PhD's in is animal learning. On the bright side, he's not the worst marker in the world.

Excellent professor, boring class. The material is difficult in comparison to other second year psych classes. I did not purchase or borrow a textbook. I attended probably 80-90% of the lectures and got a B+ in the course. Santi is a good lecturer. Tough class, but by no means as difficult as some on here make it out to be.

This course is so hard, even if you do the readings and attend class his term tests are very difficult. You need to know the concepts 100% and inside out and then apply them-if I knew the material this well I'd be teaching the class! He seems nice enough but I would not consider getting help from him fo fear of looking dumb.

His lectures are dry, his notes were dry and he didn't do a good job on explaining the main concepts. Unless you are really interested in Learning, don't take this class.

Yes, the material is hard. Yes, he lectures like everyone are doctrine students. However, he is extremely helpful and I suggest is a bit 'old school'. If more profs were like him less would be getting a free ride through university. You have to study and you have to do the work or you just won't pass. Definitely not for babies!

you mean "doctorate"? Yes the material for this class is hard, but Dr. Santi goes SO FAR out of his way to make it easier for students - it's shocking. And people are so disrecpetful that it sickens me. He is such a nice man and really cares about students if you care enough to try.
