The only saving factor was that his lectures were recorded and on his YouTube channel. That only saves the class because I could watch the videos more than once. He's rude in class, he said "There's no such thing as a stupid question, so ask away" and then later that lecture he said "What, are you in kindergarten!?" after someone asked a question.

At the beginning he is hard to understand. This makes his lectures difficult. However, after a few classes you begin to pick up on what he is saying making the class much easier. If you do not do the online homework you will have trouble passing the class.

Professor Lal is great about answering questions. Usually he answers everything in his lecture videos. There are 2-4 videos a week that each have a 4-6 question quiz. The quizzes are only worth 4-6 points, but they will make or break you. There is an opportunity for extra credit in the discussion board every week though. Not a hard class!

Definitely a hard class. He is very knowledgeable but he is hard to understand and when you ask him to explain what he is talking about he just repeats himself. If you don't understand a topic its best to look online because there is no tutor and he doesn't help much. His lack of wanting to help the students made this class impossible to pass.

This was a hybrid class, though I was skeptical. I really enjoyed the flexibility this class provided. I had the whole week to watch the lecture videos and study for tests. Studying is advised because, assignment and test questions are made to make you think more about whats being asked.

Dr. Lal is one of my favorite professors. He comes off like a jerk, but he really wants his students to ask questions. Be prepared to attend class everyday so you understand the in class assignments. Take good notes, there are no powerpoints.

The hybrid class was nice but then he doesn't really teach in person. It is a difficult class but if you keep up on the videos and lectures you'll get a B or higher

Do not expect to gain anything in this course, He did not grade on a curve at the end of the semester. A lot of contradicting statements about econ. Hands down one of the worst professors that I have ever had, if you ask questions or give feedback, he will be-little you. I am just glad it is over with. Do not take this class if you do not need it.

Tests are extremely hard but he curves the grading scale at the end based on how well the class did. The key is to show up because he gives a lot of points for attendance and he even gives you answers to all the homework in class.

Hard to get use to him constantly repeating the end of his sentences. Go to class, you have an in class assignment almost everyday. He says he's open to questions, but he'll demean you if you do ask any. He thrives on being inferior to his students. I'm really surprised they let him teach.

One of the worst teachers I've ever had the misfortune of having. If you don't have to take his class, I highly recommend not doing so. He insists that people ask questions but when they do he insults them and doesn't even answer the question. You can't understand anything he says and his teaching methods are useless, to say the least.

On the first day of school, he showed us a little diagram on the board. Hard tests, easy grading. He said 90% of his students get A's or B's, as did I, to my surprise. Very hard tests. To get the good grade, get all his free bonus points (around 50--one letter grade) and do your homework and have him check it before you turn it in.

Kind of hard to understand, boring lectures. Uses a lot of graphs and moves quickly. Your grade will probably end up higher than what you think. Cracks jokes that keeps it light.

Lectures are very boring, goes in one ear and out the other. All just basically a bunch of graphs that you're supposed to memorize. VERY hard tests and quizzes. I'd study for hours and get C's, D's, and F's. The Final is really easy though, but it didn't help out much. Hard to understand with his accent.
