Penta is a tough teacher. If you don't pay attention in class and do the homework don't expect to pass the class. You will however learn the material. I remembered most of the material even though I took a break and didn't take another math course for another year. She occasionally cracks a sarcastic joke in class.

Comment:

Very good teacher, repeats and do a lot of examples to help you. Instructions and homework is medium and helps you. Exams are a bit difficult but if you write down good notes, then they are pretty easy. Good Teacher if you want to learn some math.

Penta is one of the two best math professor at Wentworth. She is clear, a fair grader and wants to help her students get an A. Show up to class, take notes, study from the quizes and you will be all set for a good grade.

Teacher is unclear and doesn't seem to care for the best of her students. Why you ask questions she thinks your arguing with her, ask her for help and she says shes willig to lead you wrong just cause you don't kno whow to do something. Tells you something is wrong when it's right. Would not suggest this teacher at all.

Doesn't take enough time to explain the important concepts. She rushes through important techniques that you need to know to do the next step. She answers questions but most of the time is moving things too fast for anybody to figure out how to frame their questions.

She goes way too fast. Instead of showing what shes doing, she talks through each problem very very fast. I find myself writing the whole class and then not knowing what just happened. HW is optional and due at 7PM next day. A nice person but hard. Also, her jokes aren't that funny, but they do give you time to finish writing what is on the board..

she definitely knows her stuff and isn't a terrible professor, but she is possibly the most annoying woman alive, she says "all right" at least 200 times a class and has a horrible sense of humor. If you have a low tolerance for annoying people, avoid her at all costs.

Required you to memorize formulas for the first 2 tests, which was kind of ridiculous. Take good notes on the problems that she does on the board, they often show up on tests. Extra credit is given for completing most of the homework, but not mandatory. Despite my anger of the formula sheet memorization, I learned a heck of a lot in her class.

she sets exams that requires lots of time even though she gives extra credit, it would be better if she test for knowledge of the material and not specialization taking out points for signs dont make sense.she should understand it exam condition that make students forget signs

I've had this professor twice already. SOme of the kids seem to think she is a ****, but if you're therer to learn , then she is possibly one of the best. Homework is optional...worth 3 points on your final grade if you do it all.

I think Penta is definitely the best math teacher i've ever had. she explains things very well and answers all of your questions. she is very helpful during office hours. basically ive always struggled in math, but she has made it very easy to understand and so far im doing very well. i would definitely recommend taking her for calc
