Personally, I really love Professor Davis. I have taken her for countless economics classes and I really respect her! She is very clear with the what the quizzes will be on so it is easy to get an A. If you put in some effort she really respects that and will be generous with the grading. Would definitely recommend.

She is the worst professor I have ever had. She is quiet and really difficult to understand. I literally could not pay attention in that class because she was so boring. I went to her for extra help and she made me even more confused.

She is a very nice lady; however, her assignments can be a bit confusing at times. She also often does not prepare the class enough for tests and everyone will be scrambling to make sure they understand the material. The tests are also extremely long, especially exams. Nevertheless, she is a pretty generous grader.

Prof never used class time effectively. You basically have to teach yourself the material through the textbook or with classmates. Material is not overly difficult but with her lack of instruction, effective use of class time and clear answers to exercises, it felt like the material was impossible. DO not take Davis for Micro.

Dr. Davis is wonderful. She is a little quiet and is a little awkward, but one of the best professors I have ever had. She is so nice and really an excellent person. Loved her class.

Cannot understand anything she says seeing as she cannot project her voice. Only about 3 grades in the class, one of which is a 25 page paper. Very very unclear about every assignment and test. Overall, very hard professor to learn anything from and would NOT recommend.

She's a fantastic professor who knows her stuff. I took ECON 150 which was half Econ and half social issues. She gets a bit confused at times, but a real gem of an instructor.

Easy class if you put in the effort. Class is required to understand what is going on for tests and quizzes. Lots of presentations, papers, quizzes, tests, and required out of class trips. Difficult if you have no experience in both environmental and economics.

For the Dean of Economics, she does not give much as a professor, unclear, rushed, barely over a whisper, jumps around, cuts people off and then expects the highest quality of work. Very unrealistic expectations of students when she herself cannot even give a quality lecture.

She is very nice and helpful if you ask. I do not understand people who say she is a bad teacher, it is not like her class is that difficult and she is an easy grader. Plus you learn more then you do in an average Marist business class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! -FYS recession and depression- Extremely boring, can't hear her speaking, long lectures, she's obsessed with graphs ( that have no relevance to what u are learning about), never lets you out early, always constantly calls on you, even when you don't know the answer

Save yourself and don't take her as a professor. Whispers in front of the class to the board, none of her lectures make sense, puts random graphs on the projector that have nothing to do with what you're learning. So scatterbrained it's frustrating just trying to follow what she says. Avoid at all costs.

I did not take econ class with Dr. Davis but my seminar topic was on the great recession and depression. Her explanations are very clear, she wants to make sure you understand some useful economic and financial concepts. Her assignments were touch but interesting. A hard grader: 95% for any essay is, probably, the most you can get

Anything you could hate about a class, you will get in this one...confusing tests, material on tests never covered, cant hear what she is saying, tests are too long, class is BORING,class is very difficult, so many graphs and articles that are like WHAT? You would be better waiting for a different professor...AVOID this one and save yourself

Not very good at explaining Microeconomics. I didn't feel like I learned much at the end of the semester. Her tests are difficult, but quizzes are alright. 3 papers, easy grader for written assignments. Wouldn't recommend, though.

I took Dr. Davis for micro. She talks very softly in front of the class in a microphone. she's a small woman and loves the ipad.. but she is very difficult to understand. almost too smart to teach. you have to ask her really specific questions to understand. basically, if you want an A, count on spending 3 hours a week with a tutor.

She is an extremely knowledgeable professor. Many students in my class did not like her because they did not understand the material. However, they were business majors in an advanced economics course. Any decent economic student can get the A with minimal work.
