Doesn't answer emails, doesn't upload grades until a month after grades are due, is admittedly passive-aggressive to students she doesn't like, and will make you cry on a study abroad trip in a foreign country (happened to me). Worst 8 grand I ever spent. She really shouldn't be a teacher let alone director.

Taking into account the hours spent ready, studying, listening to lectures, volunteering, and writing, this class was one of the hardest in my academic career. Foley seems like a nice enough teacher, but to take her class you have to have a lot of resolve and drive

I was really excited to take this class & participate in the service aspect of it. Let me tell you, you can do the service on your own. Ann Marie Foley is demeaning, demanding, and disrespectful. I found her to be incredibly self-centered even though she's "all about service". Her lectures are stressful and she's rarely available for her students.

Took her for Community Engagement (formerly HCCIP). Wanted to volunteer, but bit off more than I could chew with this class. In addition to volunteering, you must journal about each experience, read about 4 books (and take quizzes on them), and right a final paper of 12-14 pages. Lots of work that I did not expect from a volunteer class.

Dr. Foley is the best instructor I've had at Mizzou. She'll give you a new perspective on issues, and life in general. All of her lectures are eye-opening and insightful. I want this woman to write a book on social philosophy. She's amazing. I would recommend that you stay away from HCCIP if possible. Try another one of her classes.

Dr. Foley is probably the best teacher I have ever had at MU. She knows what she is talking about. The class isn't too hard, but you have to get your work done to get a good grade. Classes like these should be required.

I feel like a better human being after taking HCCIP, and I am certainly much more educated about social issues that plague the world. Dr. Foley is wonderful. She is passionate, and she is caring. Take this class! It's easy, it's rewarding, and it's life-changing.

She's not particularly easy, I think she just wants all of her students to excell. I think she's extremely insightful and knows a lot about the ancient works we have studied. She also keeps everything quite interesting. I'd take a class with her any day

She's not very clear on how to do your assignments, but it doesn't matter because she always gives out A's. Her classes are interesting, she's a nice lady, kinda hippie-ish. Easy A, good cause, take this class.

She is a ridiculously boring professor who loves to hear herself talk. She has obviously had a hard time getting students to join her classes because I keep getting emails about availability. Just a warning...stay away.

Wonderful professor in a very difficult class. She is very knowledgable about literature in general, and she brings pizza and cookies to her students. I really learned a lot from her, and I got an A, so that was always good.
