Literally the easiest class ever! Everything is online. Come to class with a computer pull up the online textbook and facebook to scroll while she talks. Test and homework are all online so just get a friend who is fluent in Spanish to do the test for you, you get unlimited attempts on homework. If you actually want to learn Spanish, go elsewhere

Dr. Otriz can get off topic really easy, but the class is fairly easy. All of the assignments are online (tests, homework, final). Group work is enforced in class and she's really interactive.

You don't have to show up for the class except for the tests because she never takes attendance. She will interrupt you in the middle of your sentences to correct you which is super frustrating and makes you second guess yourself. The easiest A you'll have in a Spanish class. You can use a dictionary the tests and can choose your essay topics.

She brings a lot of cultural information into the classroom through media and so we don't have to stick to the text alone. My confidence, reading and speaking skills have improved temendously because we read aloud in Spanish every day in class. She is always willing to answer questions and help students with any problems they might have.

Comment:

She has a zany and dry sense of humor that is sometimes mistaken for spacey unless you get to know her. Dr. Ortiz tries to give each student every opportunity to succeed. She finds the ambiguities and mistakes in the testing material from the publisher and then goes on to give students the benefit of the doubt. She is humble and down to earth.

SUPER EASY!Work is simple & is usually assigned 2-3 times per week out of the book.Dr.Ortiz is really nice & is helpful though she can be all over the place.She can also give incorrect anwers, especially on a test.I once bumped up 2 full letter grades on a test due to her mistakes.Really easy but don't take if you're looking to be fluent.

Really nice and somewhat of an easy class to pass.Though, she can be all over the place, and sometimes she's more interested in spanish culture than spanish class. Recommended for those looking for an easy language class. NOT for those looking to learn or become fluent.
