Readings were due for every class but she made most of the lectures interesting by incorporating important social discussions surrounding gender, race, culture et cetera. There were no exams, however there were quizzes, but usually she gave you a warning. She also gave you a rubric for almost every graded item. Would recommend.

Dr. Rider is a fantastic professor. She is very helpful and kind. She is passionate about what she does, and it shows. Her lectures are inspirational and really captivate your attention. Her grading is average, but if you give your best in her class, you will do okay. She is just a really beautiful soul. Recommended.

Very knowledgeable. Strict grader. Make sure you are a strong writer if you take this class. You'll learn a lot about the Holocaust, but Dr. Rider will challenge your abilities. She's always willing to help as long as you put forth the effort.

Dr. Rider is an excellent teacher. She really forces you to think for yourself. She is a somewhat tough grader, but if you don't do shoddy work at the last minute you'll be fine. I liked that there was a lot of classroom discussion. Overall an interesting class

Very nice, cheerful and enthusiastic. She's a very strict grader, but that's what you'd expect from a college professor. Only problem I had was the amount of reading. She is used to 2-3 hour classes so 1 hour classes were new to her and after the first week she assigned 100+ pages of reading for homework every class.

Dr.Rider gives you a lot of freedom and treats you like an adult, in return expecting you to take your studies seriously; she is not unreasonable in this regard. This class was my major-project needing very little instruction, but she was available for assistance if needed . A quality that transcends to other classes that I've had with her before.

I used to love German, she ruined it for me. All we did was repeat what she said. She waited till final week to give us about 50 assignments during deadweek and even through final weekend! I have taken 5 years of german before her 102 class and she is the worst teacher I have ever had. Really made German not fun for everyone. Avoid at all costs.

Dr. Rider is a harsh grader, but I'm okay with that. She really is that stereotypical college professor: strict, eccentric, and tough. Overall though, she's pretty nice. She gets really busy though, so it's hard for her to help outside of class. Not a bad class.

The class seemed to cover material very quickly. The textbook was huge and covered way too much information for an intro type class. I failed the class the first time I took it despite being there almost every day. If you take this professor, make sure you do all of the crazy reading assignments and study a lot.

Ms. Rider was a great teacher, but ran a fast paced class. was VERY HARSH on attendance and grades. I was there nearly everyday and still failed with a d+. if your looking for an easy A .Ms Rider is not it. After about 3 weeks I lost her in all the clutter.

She used to teach introductory German classes. I would daydream about her all during class. She is very attractive. I learned more German in one semester that anyone who took four years in High School ever would. She was a great teacher. The 8 credit hours for a 4 credit hour course was nice!
