ABD is by far one of the best professors to teach at Marist! Her passion for art history makes her lectures very interesting. She often tells personal stories and gets her students engaged in class! Love love love her! P.S. tell her that her cats are cute to get a new friend <3

LOVE HER! She is so funny and she knows her stuff. She really wants you to learn and enjoy the material even if you are just taking the class for an art elective. She expects you to come prepared to class, but her tests aren't bad as long as you study. Would take her for every class if I could.

ABD is deeply passionate and knowledgeable about her field and expects only the best of her students. Do not take her if you are not an art or art history person. I loved ABD because you could tell how passionate she is about the topic. She is a very tough grader on papers but gives really good feedback. I met with her several times during her office hours to for feedback on my term paper and she helped a ton! DEFINITELY try to participate. She takes an immediate liking to people who participate in class.

She is the rudest teacher I have ever had. Nothing is good enough for her and she does not explain what she wants. When you ask for help, she barely helps. Do not take her for Honors First Year Seminar if she is offered.

Every class is the same. Images of artwork are on the screen and she talks about them and the artist. Quizzes are difficult and involve memorizing dates for 50+ pieces of art. Midterm and final are only tests and not hard if you study. One paper that requires a trip to the Met that she organizes. Very sweet lady.

I was literally dreading this class because I know nothing about art. It was early in the morning in the basement so sometimes I did find myself falling asleep sitting up. However, all you have to do is take notes and make study guides for 4 quizzes. There's one paper & 1 presentation. If you're good at memorizing..take it otherwise stay away.

Great teacher. She has a French accent, at times hard to understand but really knows what she's talking about. She gives 5 quizzes and drops the lowest, a basic (non research) paper, and a presentation. If you take good notes and pay attention its impossible not to get an A. If you don't go to class make sure someone takes notes for you.

Very hard to understand, which makes things very unclear. Very nice lady and means well but class is almost unbearable. I had it at 8 am and had to walk all the way across campus. Quizzes are hard so study otherwise you won't be prepared at all.

She is really enthusiastic about art. She also knows a lot about it. I really had no interest in art before the class and now I am an art minor. I recommend taking it. Just take notes on the slides and you'll do fine. There are 3 tests and the final. Really simple as long as you pay attention.

Very nice lady who will help you if you ask for it. The is very intellegent and knows an insane amount about art. The tests are very difficult both having 40+ pieces of art to memorize. Relaxing class where you just look at art slide for the entire period. accent is easy to get used to
