Always considerate of the class and the pace at which it goes. Very good intertwining of lab and lecture this semester. Explains the theory of why things occur very well, but leaves the math of physics to be figured out on your own. Homework is essential for practice and scoring better than you would think. Put in the work and you get the payoff.

She has a bad time with time management, but to be fair, she had a severe family emergency during our semester and it affected the course. Although if she began lecturing when lecture started, she would get her point across in time. I will say I'm much more aware of the forces that act on things now! Very thoughtful and considerate of the class.

The worst teacher I ever had in my life. Very useless, not a bad person but as a teacher I got nothing for her. If I asked her a question I would not get an answer and shes rude to someone in the class who takes a lot of interest in physics. DO NOT take this class with her. The notes dont help, and I try to teach myself things just so I can pass.

She is a very boring and dry professor. She tries to make the content interesting by adding jokes, but it does not help. I ended up skipping most lectures since her notes are based on book; attendance is not mandatory. Requires online textbook ($100) for homework. A few easy exams, most work is online. A better choice since she speaks English.

The most useless professor I've ever taken a class with. Going to lecture teaches you nothing. Tests are ridiculously hard because she doesn't do examples in class. Homework is complicated because, again, she doesn't do examples in class. You have to teach yourself everything. Don't take class with her ever.

Her notes are pretty complicated and she gets lost while explaining stuff. Physics is really not that hard but she makes it hard and it is very boring. WebAssign thingy that she uses is horrible and she gives homework every week from the covered chapter. She is a sweet person, but a not a good teacher at all.

Only gave 2 tests for the whole semester. Were long and hard. Very disrespectful, resents questions, and is very rude. Prepare to teach yourself, her lectures are long endless rants that give you no information. Only thing she has going for her is she gives extra points on tests.

Despite what many may say about her, she is a good professor. She gives 15 tries per homework question, which if you somehow need more, she will grant you. Very approachable, and the few times I have had questions, she helped me figure it out. Very strange person, but she means well and as long as you try, she will help you

For whatever reason, she doesn't like to do many examples in class. She'd rather go over the conceptual stuff. I have a midterm tomorrow and almost no examples to go over in my notes. Webassign is the worst, I'd much rather have book work. She is approachable, but I'd get a tutor or take it with someone else.

I have taken aprrox. 5-6 classes with this professor, and for all 4 years of physics. If you are a physics student, I recommend taking physics 1,2 and as many upper level courses as you can with her. She is a teacher that will make you learn, and make you put in the work so that you can leave school extremely successful, one of top proffesors here.

I find myself having to use the text book a lot because her teaching methods are unorganized and sometimes confusing. She is not very helpful when I went to see her during office hours. She teaches ABC in class and asks Shakespear literature on tests. I would not take her class if I have the option.

Comment:
Teaching methods are questionable. Never does examples, but puts students into groups very frequently, which no one likes. It's hard to learn from other students, which is why I paid for a class with a professor. Homework problems are FAR harder than anything in class. If you're already strong in physics you'll be fine. If not, AVOID.

She was very helpful, and very enthusiastic about her subject. She posted old exams, which was very helpful, and was always around to answer questions about homework or about the lecture. If you're interested, she'll talk to you outside of class about other concepts and expand on the lecture, which was really neat! Very friendly, explained well.

SO EASY! I took physics in high school. Didn't even need to go to class. Book is expensive but helpful. If you can do the online assignments, you're guaranteed an A. Test questions only have 3 multiple choice questions, for ALL of them. Always gives extra points to boost grades. 30% of my class had an A lol

Dr. Caraley is definitely snappy with questions at times. Nevertheless, she taught the material well, was always willing to help, and was flexible with make-ups. Homework assignments were much too hard compared to what she taught in lecture. Overall I would recommend her though!

Dr. Caraley is simply amazing. I wasn't excited about physics but she made the class so easy. Every examed is curved at least 12 pts and she is very understanding if u miss an exam due to illness. She can be a little impatient and snappy at times but if u just put effort in she wont be to u. She will stay all night long everyday to help with hw.

"The worst professor ever"? I highly DISAGREE WITH EVERYONE ON THAT! She made it clear so many times that she's here to help if you ever need it. I believe most everyone passed her class this semester. You can use a formula sheet every exam. She grades rather easy, i think. Homework? Ah, a little ridiculous, but hey this is college now isn't it?
