She has a hard time getting her thoughts out in a timely manner, and I wouldn't recommend any of her classes. I actually had to withdraw from her first year honors seminar because she made the already dull coursework even more tedious.

She spells everything out for you in the syllabus. You know exactly what you are getting into and she goes over everything. I read one comment saying she was hard, which i can't even believe. if you go to class, you will do great. she is an interesting woman, very passionate about her work.

I took Professor Mulvey's Psych & Women class and loved it. I disagree with many of the comments posted here. Just do your work, show up for class, and participate every once in a while (you are in college, remember that--classes are not meant to be elementary). I think she's a great prof and would certainly recommend her.

she's a fun teacher but she goes off on tangents that make you zone out and she's big on feminism, which i don't think is a bad thing, but if you do, then you probably wouldn't be taking this class anyways

She has been intregal in the feminist movement and knows what she's talking about. However, she is very unclear as to what she expects from the students. Every week, her expectations change. Her thoughts jump from one extreme to another in 2 seconds, so she's hard to keep up with. She assigns a LOT of work, too, and sometimes doesn't come to class prepared. Her class is very informative, but I'm used to a more structured, planned-out curriculum.

Has a huge heart and really cares about her students and how well we do. Her class was a little boring at times and she often goes off the subject and focuses a great deal on feminism and the importance of lesbian rights..hint...hint!
