We did a lot of activities that elementary kids would do..(coloring pictures, drawing)..which didn't teach me anything. She gave us a whole list of things to study for the final and NONE of it was on the test. Attendance is mandatory, but she lets you have one unexcused absence. Not a hard class if you have a basic understanding of french.

She is a good teacher. She has a passion for the language and that is a good thing. She is nice, but can be stern. On occassion she goes on tangents. She is willing to help, and explain things. Overall good teacher, would recommend.

Great teacher, just not for beginner French. Took 3 years in high school, and still had a hard time because she speaks frequently in French (southern accent). Very scattored, but also very personable. Doesn't always correct students when that's really what we need to be doing, especially with 20% of the grade riding on an oral exam.

I feel like I can teach the class better. I took french 4 yrs in hs but am taking 114 as a refresher and she gets mad at me for explaining things to those around me that she doesn't explain in the first place. She doesn't correct those who say the wrong thing so everyone is completely confused by the end of each day. Find a different teacher.

Ok, yes, she's kinda scattered and usually not on time but she knows more about France than most and really has a passion for the language and the country. She's very understanding about your personal life but fair on testing. She challenges you on points but trys to make it fun.

This poor woman. She is nice and everything, but this class is torturous. She is the most disorganized human being on earth and really shouldn't be a teacher. She's always late, always behind, and wants us to go to her house for our final. Try another professor for this one.
