Goes way off on tangents, and is hard to follow in lecture. She got going one day about how terrible private schools and their students are. I was so insulted by her comments that I raised my hand and got into a debate with her right there in class over the subject. Apparently I defended my side well because from then on she LOVED me.

Perhaps the most frustrating part of Dr. Henry's teaching is that she has the audacity to ask for the classes opinions, even though she already "knows" the right answer. If you want to pass her class, there's only one thing you need to do: make sure you raise your hand and agree with her at least once a day. That's how I got my A, at least.

By far one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Constantly talks about discrimination then disrespects the males and nonminorities in class. If given the opportunity to take the same class with another person-do it. Intro to Ed became Black History. It's important, but not overly relevant!

It was a challenge to have Dr. henry as a professor but I really enjoyed the experience. She expects her students to be on the top of their games when they come to class. It was good to have a professor expect a lot from me. She cares a lot about how her stdents will be at teaching.

I had her for African American Experience and I loved her. You just have to know what to do and what not to do. She's made lots of students cry I guess... so don't get on her bad side. But I loved her. I thought she is a great teacher. She has lots of experiences to let you in on.

Very smart & knows a lot from personal experience. Shares with her class, cares very much about the teaching profession, wants her students to be the best! It's necessary to look behind what she is saying to understand what she means and why she says it. Have an open mind! She'll challenge you!

Dr. Henry is the most amazing professor I've ever had. The first day she is alittle scarry but it's only to scare out the students who aren't really serious about being teachers. She'll always be a great friend!

If you are white and a male, you have no standing in her class. I may agree that she could open your eyes to things that happened, but to leave that class believing that if you aren't black, you don't matter to her, that deters learning.

wow. You haven't experienced life until you've had Dr. Henry. I wanted to cry after the first day, cuz she can be very frightning. But, stick it out, you will learn tons. Pay attention to her demands. She wants things a certain way. Always see her.

Most ****s would agree that she is a bad teacher. If you want to be exposed to the real world - take Dr. Henry. She is shocking to these northern Minnesotans who have no clue to what actually happens and happened out there - away from their pine trees

Comment:

Very finicky and serious, but will do anything and everything to help students succeed. Though she may first appear to be impatient and perhaps even mean, eventually you realize that she just demands perfection from all students. EXCELLENT TEACHER!
