unless you are majoring in Speech DO NOT TAKE HER! me and my friend took her class and for being an elective, it takes too much time away from important classes you are actually majoring in. endless lectures where you "learn" about theories and principles of irrelevant subjects. mindnumbing papers due every week and difficult long 4 page tests.

Professor J seems to be a hard-working professor, but she expects you to focus on her class first. If you don't show up or correctly do homework, you won't pass. Very tough on grading and you need to read! But, she is quick getting to emails and does help as much as she can. She's done this so long, she has heard all the excuses, so don't make any!

I don't usually like to rate since I know I am able to get an A with any professor, but she is really hard. She will give you 2 or 3 assignments every week, she is not helpful, and she is really a tough grader. I thought this class will be an easy A class since I am having way harder classes.

I don't know what prof. the others had but I found her grading to be ridiculous. I had a high B in her class (3 points from an A) & on her exam she failed me taking my grade down an entire letter. I did all of my assignments on time as she does not accept late work. I followed her instructions which I thought were straight forward. Avoid her!!

Mrs.J is an awesome teacher! I highly recommend!! I took her class online where we submitted our speeches online. I'm not very good at giving speeches, but still got an A in the class. She is understanding and helpful. Responds to emails fast too. If you're going to take this class, take her!

Awesome teacher, doesn't grade too difficult. Group work is mandatory which will bring your grade down if not anyone contributes. Mostly understanding and very easy to talk to. Many presentations involved but it's mostly painless (mentally). Notes are helpful, attend class and you will be all set to go. once again, awesome teacher. Highly recommend
