I recently retired from teaching. I credit Dr. Coletta with giving me the tools to inspire and teach thousands of students for 32 years. As a student in 1974, I worked with Dr. Coletta. I remember his enthusiasm for learning and passion for sharing methods of effective teaching. Thank you Dr. Coletta for a wonderful introduction teaching!

The class itself is a lot of work, which is normal, and he helps you every step of the way. He wants everyone to do well! He is extremely nice and understanding, and he knows a lot! His stories from his experience are absolutely great. The class is a lot of work, but he really will help you! Take him if you can! He made me want to teach ASAP

He is absolutely adorable! He knows his stuff and is very helpful. He has helped me more than my advisor has! He is really kind and cares about his students. If you ever have a problem, he is easy to talk to and very understanding. He gave a few quizzes, but they were very easy and he pretty much tells you what will be on them. Take him if you can!

Great professor, very knowledgeable! No Midterm or Final. 20 hours of School Observations, Classroom observation report and short powerpoint presentation, Lesson Plan, Teaching Philosophy, One Quiz and One Test. THAT'S IT! He's pretty easy and makes the 2.5 hour class go by very quickly.

This man has a drive and passion for teaching. He is the type of teacher that you walk away from pumped and excited to become. If you take this class and do not like him, I have to question your sanity. Course work is not hard and if you listen to him, he has a lot of hints on how to be a better teacher. Hiring Dr. Coletta was the best thing that the Education Dept at WPU could do. By taking Teaching as a Profession with him, he will motivate and encourage you towards becoming a teacher. This course is very prescribed. He tells you what pages in the book to study for the test, what books to use for your term paper, he even tells you what the title of your term paper should be! Weird for a graduate class - seems more like 3rd grade!
