If you miss class without an excuse, he will lower your grade. Your test grades are going to be incredibly low(Think 30-50%), but he curves them. The homework is previous test questions and the tests generally mirror the homework pretty well. If you show up every day, pay attention, and ask questions, you should do just fine.

Professor LoBello is my least favorite Professor I have taken at allegheny college. His calc160 is nit the greatest. His exams are not doable for the time period he gives you. He likes to say things that are hurtful. He has a sense of humor but goes too far. Good luck if you take him, but I will not be going through that again.

Brutally honest, but he really care. If you skip class, your grade will pay. The actual content of the class wasn't super interesting, but Lo Bello made the class really fun. I highly recommend taking, but make sure you know how to work.

Dr. Lo Bello, is a hard, but excellent professor. His class will challenge you, even if you have prior math experience. However, you can be assured that you are definitely going to learn in his class. Although his class is hard, if you work to understand it, you will succeed. Also, be ready for his humor that will keep you laughing through class.

Lo Bello is a fantastic teacher. He has a strange sense of humor and sometimes likes to pick on students, so don't take his class if you're sensitive. The work can sometimes be difficult, but explanations are always clear and if you understand the material and he likes you, you will get an A. I used to hate math, but he turned me unto a math minor.

Very entertaining professor and usually quite clear. God help you, however, if you don't understand something. He will literally call you stupid if you can't learn his way. He also plays favorites, usually with the frat boys. I am a math major and his complete lack of support and belittling comments made me want to reconsider.

He was a skilled and enthusiastic professor and always looked forward to teaching new things. He kept us on our toes, and challenged us by keeping us active in class with various forms of participation. He gave stars when we had accomplished something difficult, and although it seems childish, it was actually really fun. Overall, he was fantastic!

He is such a helpful professor. He explains himself well and when you don't understand, he explains further. He is a very funny guy. I'm pretty sure our grade was only based on the final and how much he liked you. He involves the class quite a bit, so pay attention!

Dr. Lo Bello is the best professor I've ever had, hands down. I am not a math person at all, but after taking Math 170 (Calc II) with him, I chose to take Math 210 (Calc III) as well. He doesn't require a text book, but gives excellent notes and teaches better than any textbook available. He is a hard grader, but well worth the effort.

Easily the best professor I've ever had. Taken three of his classes, convinced me to be a math major. He moves quickly, but will slow down if you ask him. He is also very helpful in office hours. No textbook, but his teaching is better than any textbook I've ever had. Homework is hard, tests are harder. Put forth the effort and you'll do well.

Awesome professor! Did not require a text book, which is wonderful cost-wise. The lack of a book did not affect the class quality at all, as Dr. Lo Bello's notes were clear, comprehensive, and totally applicable to the homework and exams. He is an intimidating person and a tough grader, but extremely helpful in the classroom and office hours.

LoBello tends to go off topic, but its hilarious and makes class interesting. I love going to class, but I can't say that the work is easy. His notes are clear, but he seems to go fast and time in class, and he definately is a challenge.
