3 Papers & 2 Exams. He's been at Ramapo since it opened, and I'm happy to say he hasn't lost his touch. He's a compassionate man and makes you question widely accepted ideas. He's interesting and if you try to take something from his class, you'll be fine.

His lectures might get too long and boring sometimes but they are worth listening to. He is very nice and concerned about the students. Not a lot of papers, just some reading and a mid term and a final. if you listen to him at class, you will do just fine.

Easy class, just show up, and seem interested. He explains all of the stories in great detail, so you will understand the books really well. He also explains roots of words, which was pretty cool. You only have to write three, two paged essays, and both the midterm and final are short in class essays.

I took him for a summer course and he lectures the whole time, but he's one of the best professors I've ever had. He's such a sweet, old man and his real life examples are very interesting and always insightful and helpful. I definitely recommend him. An absolute must have professor.

Probably one of the most intelligent professors I have ever met. He has an understanding of language, emotion, and literature that still amazes me. His lectures may be somewhat boring (esp. for an 8AM), but there is no doubt that he is a good professor. He's also a pretty easy grader.

what a guy!he's like a wise old mentor.sweetest.relatively easyclass, and just hearing him connect the greek and latin root-words makes you understand how smart he is.there are a few papers, but they're two pages double spaced.easy A if you make them sound somewhat philosophical. he measures attentiveness and attendance for grade.i'd take him again

Words cannot describe the Godly figure known as Padovano. The man is one of the best teachers Ive ever had. Reminds me of the wise old man in any movie, even sounds a bit like Optimus Prime. Definitely recommend him for Readings in Humanities. the 8am is worth it.

For some reason he just hated my writing. He was never clear with what he wanted and was very vague with his papers and the topics. I never got anything higher than a C from this man. He mainly teaches 8AMs too... NOT worth it

Dr. Padovano is a great prof! He loves to lecture, but definitely keeps it interesting. He teaches the Bible from a literary perspective, which is very enlightening. He can be a tough grader, but your overall grade is based on improvement. He's worth taking, even though his classes are 8 am's.

The worst thing you can say is that he's overly lecture-centric. Personally, he is an incredibly soulful and intelligent man. I recommend taking him; if nothing else, you'll learn a life experience.

Padovano knows his stuff! He's very smart and tries to be sensitive to everyone's beliefs. I learned more in his class then any other class I've taken so far. It's more of a philosophy class then lit, though. He does most of the talking so 3 hours can be difficult to get through but I say take him! Everything you thought you knew will change.

Wonderful, wonderful Professor. He is a very knowledgeable man who really cares about his students. It is people like him that leave such a lasting impression and influence on someone, that one never forgets them. His class was very thought-provoking and enjoyable. You'll leave with a renewed perspective on the bible and on life.

Professor Padovano is an excellent instructor; I walked away with so much knowledge from his class- he incorporates a lot of life's examples to illuminate themes that have great relevance in one's own life. The workload is very manageable; consists of 5 2pg papers, 1 midterm, 1 final, and a 1 pg experiential paper. It's about quality not quantity.

Prof Padovano is a really great teacher. However, I dont know why people rated him easy--most of my class got C's on their papers. The workload isnt a lot (all papers are only 2 pages long) but he is a tough grader. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to push themselves or is a lit or philosophy major.
