Comment:
Extremely easy professor, but is EXTREMELY boring. Lectures are "mandatory" but he doesn't take attendance. I haven't gone to class since week 3 except for presentations and exams and I have an A in the class. Exams are easy and he allows a full page cheat sheet front and back, just copy the slides on the sheet.

Quite an easy professor. Grading is very confusing, never posts any grades on blackboard. Would recommend getting his book but in general, it's an easy A. Allows 8x11 double sided cheat sheet during tests. Only two tests.

Love this beautiful man. He makes everything straight forward. You can use cheat sheets on the tests! Tests are fill in the blanks, so putting everything on a separate sheet will give you an effortless A. Presentations are simple, and you'll get good grades if you do what you red to do. Coming from a slacker, He is a gem that makes you life easy.

Class was comprised of several easy group presentations and 2 exams (noncumulative). Exams are multiple choice and unreasonably difficult, with questions based on lectures, books, presentations and the news. News is not specified, and I had a question based of my own presentation that I couldn't answer since we didn't cover it. Lots of guesswork.

Hes a great teacher, super nice, his lectures can be boring but theyre doable. He allowed a cheat sheet for midterm and final. His tests are based on lectures you dont even need the book. He gives a case presentation and a final group presentation. I love him, im taking 2 more classes with him.

Pagano is probably my favorite professor at UIC. He's very knowledgeable and I would have to say I actually learned some things in his class, due to his requirements to post on the listserv and the class presentations. At the same time, his courses aren't too difficult at all. He is also super accommodating and understanding. Mgmt 350 & 460.

Class is VERY easy. He worked with the panama canal so that's very interesting when he goes into detail. No need to buy the book, just focus on the notes he gives and you will easily pass the class. Exams are not hard and projects are interesting and easy. I highly recommended this class.

This was the ONLY class i didn't get A at UIC. He might know a lot but he's not good at teaching. His class and his book weren't useful at all. I don't recommend.

He is a wonderful professor, so I completely disagree with a bad comment below. His class was easy, but learned a lot at the same time, he wants you to keep up with what's going on in the world today, so if you watch the news and discuss it in class, A ( obviously got to do well on the exams too)

Dont expect he'll be a good professor. His class is super boring and you'll learn nothing. He asked ppl to keep up with business news so you have to subscribe to WSJ because exam questions are from the news, but he's using his own book published in 1997 and using business examples in the 70s and 80s...NO hw but lots of presentation...

easy going class. lectures was done online via his recorded lectures; very convenient. case and new presentation most of the time. He keeps in touch with the world news. Exams are fair and average in terms of difficulty. Overall, a good class.

I got an A in his class with a FAIR amount of work. I didn't have to kill myself for the A. Exams were fair as well. He does not try to trick you and questions are clearly written. Powerpoint presentations were a little quirky tho with sound effects. Has a significant amount of outside experience. I recommend taking his classes.

Pagano was fairly easy. Takes attendance before each class and after each break, but doesnt record anything if youre not there. A couple group presentations and the listserv discussion board. 2 exams, you get a cheat sheet, know the cases in the book. Boring lectures but easy class. UIC is a joke.

Awesome Prof. If you want to talk to him at his consultation hours, he may not always be there in the office on time, and he does keep the door close when he is there, so you could be unsure whats going on. But he cares for his students, and will let you know what you have to do to succeed in the exams. Can be boring, remember to study the book.

Lectures are terribly boring, and do not underestimate the exams, they are tough. He was easy for 350, but for his 400 level classes, he is pretty hard.

He was a good teacher for lecture and he hit on everything that would be on the test. Know the CASE STUDIES! But when i needed to go to France for a wedding in my family, he told me if I missed an exam, I got a zero...he was actually an ass about it.

Tests are easy if you bother to flip through his book and lecture slides. Pagano gives students the chance to use some notes on tests. He is sincere about the students learning something out of the class. Take him for MGMT 350!
