Professor Crespo is the best! I had him for SPAN220 and am now taking him for 221! He explains things well and helps you learn from your mistakes. He gives both online and written homework, but they are straight out of the textbook and we go over it in class. If you are willing to put in the work, an A is very doable. I recommend taking him!

Professor Crespo really knows his stuff. He explains concepts in great detail and repeatedly so that come test day, you feel ready. He is very nice and makes his class feel very relaxed. Do be prepared to put in some work, there is a fair amount of homework. When I took his class, he didn't require students to turn in homework, he just quizzed us.

While he isn't an outright terrible teacher he suffers from many flaws. Extremely dry lectures, goes off on tangents about things that don't matter, can be very rude over simple mistakes, wastes a lot of time. This all being said it is an extremely easy class to get an A in. You won't learn much but you will get an A.

Professor Crespo was great and I would take another class with him any day. His expectations are pretty simple but people still manage to mess it up and then get mad at how he responds. Just show up on time, participate in class and don't be rude. He appreciates when students try and is very helpful if he knows you're trying.

*Disclaimer: I am one of those people who actually take college classes to learn and not just hope for the easy grade. If that's you, my opinion may not be very useful to you.* This is really not a difficult class. The purpose is conversation so let your apprehension go and speak, make a million mistakes and go for it. Your Spanish will improve

What can I say about Prof Crespo: He is very disrespectful. He bangs on his desk with flashcards to get the attention of the class. He doesn't follow his own syllabus. He lectures for days about irrelevant things, things that are not even on tests. If you make a mistake when answering he cuts you off and corrects you before you can correct yourself

I've taken 5 semesters with Crespo and one thin is certain: he will work his hardest until you properly understand the material. Be prepared to participate & attendance is mandatory! He's incredibly knowledgable and has a great sense of humour which makes class enjoyable. Best part, he makes you feel comfortable trying out a your language skills.

WOW, what can be said about Crespo? I took this class because it's an easy A. As a native Spanish speaker, the material was easy and already knew the majority of it. This teacher's lecture will confuse you. He actually did not know some basic grammar rules, and when it was pointed to him, he got mad. By far the worst teacher at Grossmont.

He is not organized, at all. He does not respond to emails. It is hard to hear him in class. I have taken spanish courses for many years and I took his spanish for native speakers class. I already knew most of the material, yet he confused ME about information I already knew. He is a terrible teacher, and I feel sorry for whoever takes his class.

Dr. Crespo loves teaching and loves Spanish, but if you don't participate in his class then it's your own fault that you get a bad grade. If you want to get a good grade but you don't care for work or learning, take another teacher.

by far the worst professor i've ever had. He dedicates the entire constantly changing criteria and the class content, where the syllabus gets lost pretty much at the beginning. Avoid at all cost!

You have to work for your grade, it's not difficult to get a good grade in the class just show up and participate. Participation isn't difficult don't just sit and talk to your friends the whole lecture

Do not correct him, if you do, he'll make you pay at the end of the semester under "participation". It's a shame this College has such low standards for professors. Avoid at ALL COST!

Such an enthusiastic professor, and is obviously implementing all the resources he has to help the class learn. Seriously, you have to try in this class. He tries his best to help you understand the material, you have to try too. You need to study outside class. You need to review the material before class. Use the book and do the homework!
