Bruh! There is no word can describe how awful and horrible Anu is as a professor. I know I am dumb but she made me dumber. Her lectures are really long and uninteresting. You will hardly learn anything from her lectures and get lost if you lose focus on her slides for couple seconds. Tests are super long and stupidly confusing. Dont even take her!

Comment:

The curve is the only thing that saved me. One of the harder classes I have taken at SJSU. The material isn't rocket science but she zooms through lecture and you barely have a chance to understand what she is showing you. If you have the option to, I would avoid this class!

Comment:

Nice lady who cares for her students, but she does a poor job explaining the concepts necessary to do well in the course. Expect a lot of self studying to compensate. Three group projects, three tricky multiple choice exams (despite allowing a notecard), and several additional assignments on the side. Class required more effort than really needed.

Not sure why so many people bag on her. If you attend the class and follow along, you should get an A. The reviews before the tests are very similar to the exams. She genuinely wants to help her students. The lectures are long but she makes them doable with group exercises.

The professor is very kind and helpful. 1 MC Final, 2 excel midterms, 1 HW and 1 Exercise per week, and 2 group presentations. Final is comprehensive. Every thing on excel midterms were reviewed before one week. Exercise points are just the attendance . HW had solutions without formulas and wrong not affect the grade. Easy class. Would take again.

RUN!! Don't take this class with her, she is a very nice person, but a horrible teacher. Very confusing, her class doesn't have a clear structure and she is not fair with her grading. If you can avoid her, do yourself a favor, if you don't, good luck

I took this class and was satisfied with her. Her teaching style is not the best and she is to fast sometimes when she goes trough the slides, but she helps you any time if you have some problems and explain it again. She is responding Emails in less than 20 minutes and she is doing exam reviews which help a lot for the exams.

Not a bad person, but not a good professor. Bus177 material isn't difficult the only thing that is difficult is the format of the tests. Excel exams are heavily weighed on your overall grade and doing them is very difficult. Try to avoid taking this for your finance elective if you can because you don't learn a lot in this class.

1 exam, 1 final, 2 quiz, weekly hw, 2 group project with presentation, and that's not even the worst part. She expect everything to be done on excel. Yes, you heard me right, the hw and exam in excel. These concepts aren't easy but she flies by them with very little example. NOT RECOMMENDED.

This class is a catch-22. Showing up to lecture is a waste of valuable study time, however you won't pass if you don't do the weekly group exercises at class-end. Her hw is to copy her excel sheets, however they are outdated and contain many errors (so you're really only learning about 25%. I respect her, but she's an acceptable job.

It is about her management than educating students. Students had to do a lot, but she did not give feedback at all to one team. One of her guys is very rude when keeping asking "are you sure?" in other team's presentation while he did not give a reason for his opinion plus he did many mistakes. Very disrespectful. Yet she allowed it to happen.

Her lectures are unorganized and difficult to follow. Grading depends more on works in teams. If your teams get stuck in somewhere, good luck. She is not responsive to students when she feels busy. Too much drama too in this class.

Hardest professor, mainly because she expects way too much from students. If you take her class, expect to drop all priorities on Midterm week & Quiz days and funnel it towards her. Quizzes are cherry picked from lectures and are multiple choice BUT are confusing. Class AVG got below 40% on some Quizzes. First Exam Class AVG was 50%.

It's shame she was chosen to teach such as an important class for Fin. majors. This is the class that supposedly prepares you to become a Financial Analyst, yet I took nothing out of it. Why am I paying tuition money for a professor that wants you to"figure it out"Absolutely took nothing from her or this class. Brags bout being offered CFO role

If you want to learn a lot about finance and be prepared for a career after college, I highly recommend taking her. She has a lot of real world experience. She also requires everything to be done in excel which is very important in today's job search. She is very helpful and always responds to emails quickly. She truly cares about her success!

Intermediate Excel knowledge as well as a laptop is needed during lectures. Extremely unorganized, materials are sporadically given throughout the semester on a day to day basis. . Intimidating professor but open to WebEx one-on-one remote meetings for students. Join a study group and learn on your own.

I did not like this professor at first and I considered dropping the course. As the semester went on she provided a lot more information for assignments and exams which made it much easier to learn. She is very helpful for in class group assignments to make it easier when taking the midterms. She also gives a lot of feedback for the exams.
