Comment:

Uninteresting class with broad open ended exams. Often corrected by students on basic macro events. Marks pretty hard for an elective course even for a student with economics knowledge.

Writes horrible open ended midterms and finals and marks extremely hard. If your opinion is at all different than hers she will mark it incorrect. Interesting enough course but did terrible on midterms and finals I studied for finishing with a garbage B, in what I thought was a bird course.

She teaches a second year bird course that reviews basic macro and applies it to current events. She expects students to read the news throughout the semester (a key to doing well) and while some find her flaky I thought it was nice to have an econ professor with some personality FOR ONCE.

A second year econ course, and she says 'Wikipedia is fine' for referencing materials. Enough said. Appears to be very much of a bird course, but she grades quite heavily on participation. Quite disappointed by the quality of material. If you want an easy A+, it is the course for you. But if you want to learn something useful, look somewhere else.

Great Prof who teaches why Economics if important, not how to solve equations. Learned more about Economics in her one course than in the rest of my time in Uni put together, and all of my interests in Economics come from her class. I wish all Profs infused such interest in the subject. Bonus: she marks easy, got 90% on midterm with little effort.

Attended class and everything that comes out of this woman's mouth is PURE HILARITY! Has a love affair with Stern even though word on the street is she's married to Hartwick. ... 290 was awesome! but you probably should go to classes over reading the book if you want to do well.
