The classes were really chaotic each time. No one really knew what to do and when to do it. You can revise a lot which is helpful. Can seem to be pretty harsh and tough, but if you ask for help and really try you will get it.

Easily approachable. Friendly. Loves what she teaches and it shows. Definately scattered (I think she's ready to retire?). Easy work if you just do it all the reading (even if its last minute). Got a B and Im a D student. She made me want to start reading again literature!

I have really enjoyed Prof flowers class. She loves this subject and it shows. She encourages us to have our own opinions about the work and does not mark them as "wrong". The F2F meetings are a requirement by the state I believe, and they were my favorite part. So approachable and willing to go the extra mile. A Joy!

Prof. Flowers is competent & has an aura of kindness around her. I am taking 1B now & would love to have even more F2F meetings. She gave us our essays back & explained the grades. BTW, UCSF considers online courses only with F2F meetings. She arranged an additional meeting for those who preferred another day. We had syllabus from the beginning.

Took the online class- quite disorganized (had to e-mail her and ask q's) but was excellent with feedback! Gave students her phone # so you could call her. She'd return phone calls & was very helpful. Good materials and fun assignments. Grades very fair (I did not expect the grade I got). Does not judge or pick fav's. Great teacher!

Dont waste your time with this class. The professor has no syllabus and doesnt grade your work till the end of class. You never know how you are doing. Plus she never gets back to you. Worst online class I have ever taken. I do not recommend it to anyone!

took the online class and it was AWFUL -- don't think she even knew how to use the online classroom. nearly impossible to reach, and we never received feedback/grades, only a final grade at the end of the class. had to SEARCH to find due dates/instructions for upcoming assignments. a relief to be over and done with!

I took her class on-line. She's very unorganized, didn't post the material until almost the 3rd week, was constantly making mistakes on due dates and stuff. She doesn't post grades, you don't get any feedback from her whatsoever. She doesn't say what she expects from us and then grades unfairly with no explanation on what you did wrong. Bad teacher

This teacher is extremely bad. If you want to get a good grade or risk around with your GPA. GO FOR HER! She is super unhelpful. She grades everything based on if she likes you or not. If you try to be friend with her, she would feel offended about it that you will have a bad grade. Or even though you stay silent, it would also be a problem for her

Do not take this class for your own good. She gives useless feedback like "excellent" or "good work" if it's good and if it's bad she is very vague at what needs to be done like "confusing" at times her tone is really mean and insulting. She is a textbook teacher, she never tells the bookstore to order more of her books and she uses it first day.

I took her more than once because she is so great. Ms.Flowers is the best teacher I have ever had. She is extremely helpful, friendly, and professional, but has little patience with slackers. (see below!)

I really want to say that this professor is extrememly unhelpful. She was absent 7 times in a quarter. She never hand you back your essays, and you will end up getting a grade that you do not deserve. I really want everyone to think twice before you take this professor.

She is the absolutely laziest teacher in the world. She was absent 7 times in this quarter, and average 6 times per quarter. She won't read your whole in class essay and just read the 1st and last page, even you work extremely hard on it. waste your time and learn nothing. She never passes back our take home essay. The fact, she never read it.

April is my most favorite teacher in the world!!! She is the nicest person i have ever met, needless to say she treats her students very good. Respectful to all opinions, helpful (if you are ever confused just ask her - she will tell you everything you need to know). Take Miss Flowers, if you want a fun relaxing, pleasant quarter, and an A! =)

She is such an unfair grader! U get A as long as she likes u, u can absent from sch if u r her favourite ones. Though she promised that we could rewrite our essays for many times as long as we want to, she had never returned our essays until the last lesson before the quarter ends~ U can't even predict wut grade u can get until u get your result.
