Comment:
Ullmann demands too much work for this 3 credit class. Weekly S-T-R-E-C-H questions are a page to two pages a week, which is not bad. The problem is his attitude is condescending and his tests are extremely difficult (90% of your grade). His "humor" is irritating. He doesn't understand that respect is earned, not demanded. Take other prof.

This class could be considered a lot of work compared to other IBUS sections, but Ullmann is soo worth it. Genuinely invested in teaching and goes above and beyond to make content relevant and interesting. Tests can be tricky. Do the LxC extra credit and you're golden.

He was the best teacher ever. I am an international student, but I did not have any problem to understand his words. That is, he explains everything clearly and makes the subject interesting. A lot of works, but finally almost everyone got an A.

Way too much work for 3 credits. 2 hours of lecture and 1 of discussion with assignments every week in discussion and reading for lecture. Also make you take 1 hour of LxC. Recommend reading the text b/c he goes through a chapter a day and just glosses over concepts rather than teaching them. Knowledgable guy but teaching style did not mesh w/me

In my six years of college, I've never met such a ****. He plays favorites, so get on his good side. If you volunteer, go to office hours and suck up, you're in the clear. Otherwise - don't bother. He will grade your papers and tests twice as hard. Extremely condescending towards students, even when he is in the wrong. Quite the character. Avoid!!!

People stop coming to his class after the first week and you think he'd get the point and stop being a prick. Has no respect for his students, assigns too much work, has unrealistic expectations, loves to be sly, and wastes class time to amuse himself. Treats his students like they are 10 year olds. I did better in class after I stopped going.

the tests covered alot of material and the short answer questions were not easy, but mc were. the papers were graded fairly easy as long as you put in a decent amount of effort. attendence wasnt required and got boring during the second half of the semester, but he has a good personality

411 is hard work, period. He is long-winded but what he says is useful for strategic thinking. Some people find him off putting but I enjoy his European humor - He's out of his mind but it works. I skipped 30% of class and did most stuff the night before it was due an got an A. Textbook is useless, just listen, *THINK* & reverse engineer answers.

Lechtures are useless becuase the material will not be tested but the subjects are interesting, out of class work is time consuming. Tests are not difficult if you have a good cheat sheet. It is hard to get an A in this class but anyone who tries hard can manage a B+

The class is easy on common sense and certainly does not really require your attendance except at discussion. The class is not really a worthwhile addition to the curriculum but Ullmann's experiences are amazing and he is just a really smart guy. There's no reason to struggle in this class, take the LXC and he grades the oral better than writing.

There was a ton of reading and I was stressed out throughout the semester, but I was proud of myself for the knowledge I had by the end. He's an interesting guy and though he's boring sometimes, he knows a lot. I really respect him. You pretty much have to take the class, so good luck and believe me if you take it seriiously you learn something.

He is a horrible teacher, that rambles endlessly. His tests are almost impossible, gives too much work, and he grades papers hard as hell. THIS CLASS IS NOT WORTH THE TIME OF DAY, my advise try to take it with another professor assuming there is another one!!!!!!!

This professor is, in my opinion, the best professor in SOM. He knows his material, and presents it to the students very well. He does assign a lot of work, but, you wouldn't learn anything if that work wasn't assigned. Some people are ****ing about how hard the class is, but thats real life, and he prepares you for it better than any prof.

He is hard and expects a lot. I did the most work in this class than my others. Do the extra credits - they're easy and in the end they pushed me from an A- to an A. I didn't do well on the tests but discussion is easy, just talk every time and do LXC. Lecture is worthless, he rambles about his life. Go during the second week for the presentation.
