Comment:

Very lecture heavy. My Math Lab is no longer EC (as far as I know, thatd be a sweet surprise) and that leaves very little opportunities for EC, which sucks if youre a bad test taker. Tests and exam are worth 75% of total grade. No makeup tests, no matter the circumstance. Dr. Muhundan seems like a sweet man, but a rough professor.

LISTEN TO ME. His exams are exactly like his reviews with different numbers, do the review and you will get a pretty easy A. The homework is just as much as any other class. Usually a section due each Sunday, usually about 20 math problems. He is really nice. After the first 2 classes his accent will be completely unnoticeable. (:

Comment:

There is a lot of homework, so don't put it off until the last day. Each test includes extra credit which is nice (even the final). Don't take an accelerated course unless you're ready to cram - I fell into this trap and now have to retake the course. It had nothing to do with the professor, it's just a lot of work. I plan to take him again!

Comment:

He was very helpful whenever I emailed him, and always responded in a timely manner. The homework was fairly easy and he gives enough time in order to get it done and you can redo the problems as many times as needed in order to get an A. As long as you do the work the class is a breeze. Also offers extra credit on all tests, even the final exam.

Comment:

Knows his material, but the tests are way, way different from what he lectures you on and from what you study on MML. Instead of teaching you exactly what you need to know for the exams, he expects you to recall practically everything in hi lectures where he blazes through *moutains* of material. I will say that he does stay after class to help.

The 8 week accelerated course was interesting. Don't take the online class unless you are willing to study all the time. The tests were pretty much the same questions as the study guide. Only online math questions and tests.

Loved this Professor he is the best. Do the study guides and do all of the homework. Also, His lectures clear everything up about the subject and you can ask lots of questions. Definitely my favorite math professor at SCF so far!!

He gives a ton of homework, but each test is worth more than the entire semester's worth of homework. So even if you get 100% on every single homework, you won't pass if you don't do well on the tests. And the tests have completely different materials than what the MML homework showed you.

Yes, he does have an accent... BUT he is the sweetest man. There were numerous times he would stay after class and help me understand the material. I am taking him again this summer!! He also gives a lot of extra credit on tests and online homework. It is not his fault if you do not study for the test. He is TheBomb. Com

Doesn't really help you study for the tests, just gives you an online study guide. You better show up or you're getting dropped. Has an accent so you have to pay attention. Homework is on MyMathLab is extra credit which is nice, but you have to keep up with the class. Goodluck!

Test are harder then class work , and homework. Mr. Muhundan doesn't really prepare you for the test. But he does stay longer after class to help with extra confusion. His speech makes it harder to understand when teaching.

Has an accent that can be unclear. Grade consists of tests and final exam and that's it. You can use mymathlab as extra credit but it won't make your grade. sometimes teached us well while others times he would whisk through your questions. Doesn't communicate with students and doesn't use canvas.

Comment:

Muhundan will answer any math question. One question, that he took class time to answer, was at least 10 very long steps. He very willing to help. His tests aren't too bad. I would highly recommend him to anyone. One of the best mathematics professors at SCF.

Comment:

There is a difference between knowing your material and knowing how to teach it. While respectable in intellect, Dr. Muhundan's ridiculously difficult tests and lectures in which he expects you to learn through his way and only his way reflect his major flaw as a teacher: a seeming disregard for the fact that everyone learns in different ways.

First off if you don't like taking tests then this teacher isn't for you. Expect 4 main tests and a final for a total of 600 points. Buy the MyMathLab, or better yet rent the book, I only paid $26. You will never use the book but in class notes are not always clear so do the work online and you will learn everything you need to pass the tests.

Probably the best professor I've had with math, he's a good guy and he'll definitely work with you if you put in the effort. If you try asking for help after not showing up on time or showing up at all, you're out of luck. Super clear with his lecture and if you don't get it, its okay! He'll help you out, but he'll throw in some sass in with it.

I took his class for MAC 1105 and it was really good. He does have a slight accent, but it was not so heavy that you couldn't understand him. One thing that was awesome was that all of the homework on My Math Lab was extra credit. Unless you like to work out of a text book, do NOT buy it. Great class and I would definelty take him again.

Calculus is an inherently difficult course. Professor Muhundan does not make it any harder than it has to be. He is very clear in his instruction. He goes out of his way to be extremely fair. He is always willing to answer any question you may have. I would take him again.
