AMAZING! I absolutely loved Prof. Waldvogel. She was very sweet and caring, and genuinely a wonderful person to get to know. She taught very well and her projects were all very fun and pretty open-ended as far as medium and subject matter.

Comment:

I enjoyed all of Professor Waldvogel's projects, however, painting with acrylagouache is a nightmare, and incredibly expensive to keep up with. Once you get out of the "foundations" of color theory, there is freedom of media. Only issue is there was barely any heads up from project to project. No structured syllabus like many of my classes.

Comment:

This studio class being online made it extremely difficult to keep up and understand what was going on. The directions were written in long paragraphs and it was very easy to overlook and confuse some instructions. Although this professor tried to make herself available, it did feel as if I were in this class alone and hoping for the best.

Waldvogel is such a sweet and humble professor. Everyday was such an inviting experience. She DEFINITELY has a passion for color and the application of color. The projects were super fun we arent even done with the class and Im excited for the next project! Gouache is a pain, however. Her intentions for gouache are respected, however.

She doesnt really actually TEACH. Youll learn by doing the same thing over, and over, and over again. Shell talk for about 5 minutes but youre pretty much in your own.

It was really a pleasure to work with this professor. She's very patient and really wants each student to find what works for them. I never felt like I couldn't complete an assignment in this class, either. The workload was manageable and she was eager to help us out.

Mrs. Waldvogel was a great professor! She is really understanding of her student's situations, and she can be flexible in emergencies. I really enjoyed the creative freedom in her assignments. I would love to have her again.

Her classes require your dedication like any other class. Assignments are very interesting and free of exploration. She is an amazing teacher, does her best to be clear in her explanations and has your best interest at heart.

Love her sooooo much! so down to earth and fun and easygoing! Allows so much creative freedom and helps you dive into the science of why you want to design something! basically arts and crafts for college students! Most of my assignments were star wars themed and it was all good!

She has quite of bit of painting to do outside of class, and in class is mostly used painting. It's not horrible and it helps you learn. She lets you choose the topics of your projects mainly. She's sweet and understanding.

Waldvogel is a total sweetheart. She cares about her students and their progress. You don't have to be an excellent visual artist for her to pass you or even care about you. She just cares about your progress.

I really enjoyed color theory with Prof Waldvogel. Her projects are fun and she gives you a lot of creative freedom. She lets you out early a lot too which is nice. If you have any questions or if you cannot make it to class one day you can text her and she will reply within the hour. I would 100% take her again.

Shocked to see that she doesn't have higher ratings bc she is the best teacher I've had in my life! Treats students like equals & gives clear instructions that are easy to understand. If there is any confusion she clears it up because she cares about helping her students. Assigns fun projects that make u exercise your creative muscles. Learned ALOT

Comment:

Ms. Waldvogel is very sweet, but she doesn't give hand outs. Her projects are fun, and they make you think. She gives puzzles, she won't give you the answer but will ask questions to get you there. We didn't have a midterm, we used everything on the material list she asked for, and our final was a vocab test. She also gives helpful feedback.

This class was amazing. She gives a lot of freedom on assignments and isn't super strict with the directions. She wants you to play around and learn. Her critique's in class help a ton. Watch craftsmanship because she grades a lot on that.

I thought this class was pretty easy, especially compared to other classes that complained about their assignments. During the Savannah Film Festival, we got to go to movies instead of class to write about them on our blogs. Oh yeah - expect a TON of blogging. This made up the majority of the course load. Overall, I liked her, she was so sweet!

Comment:

Her class was the 1st class I took at SCAD. She'll constantly push you out of your comfort zone to do your best work. If you aren't the greatest at time management(like me), then you'll probably pull some all nighters for the projects. Especially the final project. If you keep up with the blog it's an easy 40% added to your grade. Super nice lady
