Great professor, one of the only ones in the program that respects his students. Very knowledgeable in conflicts and migration. As far as thesis is concerned, he does a good job in explaining how exactly to write your final paper. I appreciated his time where he gave constructive feedback.

He lectures a lot. Sometimes the class would get boring. However, there is no denying he is very knowledgeable and understands the conflicts well. If you have to take his class then it is not that bad. He sometimes shows videos which are interesting. Grades were based on participation, midterm, final group presentation, and group essay.

He knows a lot about the subject but the class is disorganized and the instructions for assignments are unclear. He is very picky about written exams and even if you said everything correctly if you don't word it the exact way he wants you wont get an A.

Had him for the honors diplomacy thesis class. He's a great guy and super smart but his advice on the research design wasn't always reliable. It's not that the advice isn't helpful, but he tries to take over your topic and change it into something different. Also from week to week he might change his mind on something he recommended. He's fine

1st assignment is the 10 page proposal with bibliography. You'll present it during class and he'll give feedback. You'll have over a month of no classes to work on research; meet with him at least 2x or he WILL fail you! Present your finished PPT slides on your scheduled day--NO 2ND CHANCES! Gives you extra time to make final edits to your paper.

I had him for graduate level research and methods course. This course is difficult leading up to the midterm and not so much afterwards. You will work in this course and likely to struggle some. But he is very helpful and wants you to understand. The paper is easy if you follow his guideline. Final easy to if you study. Midterm is hard.Book it out.

Had him for International Relations freshman year. Loved his method of teaching: clear and concise. He's a bit old school so first impressions count. Be on his good side and show a love for learning and he'll be your friend through out your college career.

Avoid. Picks favorites. His way or the highway. Applies mathematical concepts to everything. Intelligent man, but closed minded. Impossible unless he likes you. Takes off points without reason on papers and exams.
