Comment:

Dr Ata's class was a good course. He is understandable, and a nice guy. Ilthe tests aren't easy but if you go to class, study and ask for help if needed you will do fine. Dr Ata is available for extra help as needed and honestly as a foreign born student here myself the whole accent thing comment on here is ridiculous and offensive.

Dr. Ata's class is not easy, but if you get stuck taking his class here's some advice. First, DO THE READINGS. Dr. Ata will assign the chapter before he starts teaching the material in class and he expects you to have a basic understanding before class. Second, do the homework. Dr. Ata teaches by going over homework problems and answering questions

I won't lie it was a very difficlt class. He has a heavy accent and talks very low. Go to every single class. He will remember who attended his lecutures and is willing to help you more. If you read and have an idea before class, it is easier to understand what he is explaining. Exams are difficult, but do the homework and it will be easier.

This class was not easy. You basically need to teach yourself everything and read the book. Dr. Ata is a very nice guy and wants everyone to do well. His tests are fairly easy if you study and learn the material, but if you miss one thing, he will take off a ton of points. I only suggest this class if you are willing to put in a ton of work for it.

Very nice guy, he wants you to do well but his class is impossible. There are 2 exams and 1 final exam. Each only have 4 questions and are worth 25 points each. There is no homework or attendance policy, I went to every class took notes every class and still barely got by. Avoid if possible

Nice guy. Awful communicator, each exam question is worth about 7-8% of your total grade, which is way to much. Very sloppy writer, not good at answering questions either, always seems confused. I Went to all classes took notes and had book. Try another teacher

I actually like him. I will give you some advice if you are gonna take this class. First of all, prepare yourself. prepare the book he needs. Do your assignment. Go to class. It's not a hard class if you do all of that. The test is gonna be even easier than the assignment he gave you.

Let's just say this... if you're a good teacher yourself and feel comfortable teaching yourself this entire course, you're fine! I went to class a total of twice per month, and I got A's on both exams because i literally sat in the library for hours upon end teaching myself everything out of the textbook because Dr. At couldn't do his job.

He is a nice man who is always willing to take the time to better clarify the material. However, he should be your last option for this class. Grade consists of 3 exams and nothing else, which makes the class more stressful than it should be. Notes are disorganized and kinda sloppy. Eberly could use a prof with better teaching skills for this class

Do not take this class, currently in it for QBUS215. He is condescending, hardly understand his accent, and stands in front of the board after he writes all over out of order. Awful professor, should be fired. This guy should not be teaching at IUP.

Comment:

Dr. Ata is an extremely intelligent man and I would gladly take his course again. He makes the technicality of the math much easier to understand through doing examples in class, but he often has trouble illustrating when to apply certain procedures in the real world. Reading the book and doing the homework will fill those missing voids.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. His accent is thick, but even if it wasn't the guy has zero communication/legitimate teaching skills. His lectures make simple statistics far more confusing than they have to be. The book is the only thing that saved me in this class.

Only writing to try and save people money and time. Horrible communicator, extremely arrogant, and does not care about students. Had to withdraw from his class and I received an A in calc the semester before. I am not a bitter idiot that doesn't put any effort it, save your money, time and save your belief in the university to hire correctly.

I heard horror stories about this class. I took it online and it was the best!! Dr. Ata was extremely helpful and I liked the site he used for the online class. I would reccomend taking him, but prepared to do some work.
