Dr. Mitra is one of my favorite professors. His lectures and exams are difficult but if you work hard on the group project, it makes up for it. He gives a lot of extra credit towards the end and as long as you read, the class isn't hard.

Dr. Mitra was a solid professor. He is really nice and if you read the book and show up the class is not that hard. He offers a lot of extra credit towards the end of the semester - enough to bump me up a letter grade. If you have perfect attendance he rounds you up a grade (C to C+). Lectures can be very boring and the group project is extensive.

He doesn't make any sense during lectures. He'll talk for 45 minutes and then say "and #3 is.." and the entire class has no idea what list he's making or what 1 & 2 are. He uses test bank questions (different difficulties for each section) and doesn't read the questions before giving the exam. This is the most annoying and worthless class at UNI.

Lectures were very boring. Half of the test material is from lecture, the other half is from the book (not covered during class). Tests can be very difficult. Very tough feedback from poster session. However, Mitra is a very nice guy, and he genuinely wants to create a positive learning environment for his students.

You basically teach yourself in this class. He's a fun guy, attendance is mandatory for his lectures, which is annoying since he doesn't teach any test content in class. Tests are HARD, study vocab. You also have one group project that lasts all semester.

Really boring class, especially early in the morning. Professor Mitra is a nice guy, pretty funny. His tests are somewhat confusing, even if you study quite a bit, like I did. Group debate and paper was easy, but he doesn't keep up to date on grades. Two books are used and they're pretty quick reads. Study a lot, though...final is not comp

This was one of my favorite classes at UNI. Prof. Mitra is a really good teacher, and uses class activities and discussion a lot. The exams are difficult, and you will need to study a lot beforehand. You will learn a lot and I recommend taking his Leadership class.

Class is pretty tuff in the beginning but gets better as the semester goes on. Tests can be real tuff, so make sure you study the littlest things. I enjoyed how Mitra would relate real life examples and how he enjoyed talking about his family. Also, he really cares about his students and will do anything to help you do better. TAKE HIM!

Class is all in all not too bad. You have a lot of in-class group work that makes the class go by fast. A few papers and a presentation. Tests are pretty tricky, be sure to study. Mitra really cares about his students and is very helpful. I would take him again without a question!

He is a very nice guy and tells jokes in class. Also, he doesn't always lecture- you get to do fun activities! The tests aren't really that bad as long as you study- they consist of multiple choice- both a group and individual portion and then an essay question- usually you decide between 2 choices. Overall, I would definately recommend taking!

Dr. Mitra is a very nice prof. He really wants students to learn the material. He really likes it when students have questions and participate in class. Not a lot of homework either and a pretty interesting class. His tests are kinda hard and he adds a group element into his tests that are kinda weird. Overall, he is a good teacher.

Atul is a nice guy but he is hard to understand. The class project is impossible, dont even try to comprehend the damn thing because he cant clarify anything with you. Get a copy from a past group and copy it.
