This man is HILARIOUS. Even when we'd all begun to hate chemistry, lab with Dr. Starks was always a blast. He's not fond of staying in the lab and supervising, but he's very helpful in his lectures beforehand and makes sure you understand the material. His tests are multiple choice, which is awesome, though they can be tricky. Love this guy!

The best part of this class was making fun of the words he always tended to overuse and how he would overemphasize certain words. We had great fun at parties doing impressions of him. Great class, but does he ever wear different clothes?

Such an awesome professor with a great sense of humor. I can understand every word he says and he makes himself quite clear and straightforward. Kind of disappears sometimes during lab and you're stuck with the L.A. I'm loving the multiple choice!

Very funny guy. I can't say that he was all that helpful or that his lectures were clear or interesting, though. I never really knew what the heck I was doing in the lab either. I appreciated not having to buy a textbook for the class though.

Dr. Starks, Dr. Starks, Dr. Starks. He makes life in the chemistry department less bleak. Well, it's not that bad. He is very clear and has a great sarcastic sense of humor. Just remember that if you screw up in lab, "Hurry up like bunnies and do it again!"

Great teacher. VERY clear in what you have to know. For all his classes, just memorize the course outlines, and you've got at LEAST a B+. Has a wickedly sarcastic sense of humor--hilarious!
