Comment:

Dr. Theimer doesnt like to give answers, he sort of sets up a discussion and makes you figure everything out on your own. Often turns a simple one sentence answer into a class-wasting 50 minute lecture. He is not clear on objectives, homework, or responsibilities for the course. He is a wonderful choral conductor, but cannot teach a class at all.

Axel is the greatest! It is a joy to see him in class every day! He definitely expects a high caliber of commitment to attendance and singing in chamber choir. He can be tough, but the results are so worth the difficult days! He breaks up tough, serious singing with his unexpected jokes! It is such a joy to be a part this wonderful ensemble! :)

Chamber choir is the best. Axel is one of the best directors I've ever encountered and he makes every 70-minute class seem shorter. It isn't easy, and he demands a lot, but it's worth it to be with so many people who are so talented. He gets fed up with talking and annoying people, so don't take his classes if you want to slack off. RECOMMENDED.

CHAMBER CHOIR is great!!! Theimer is the reason i came to St. Johns/St. Bens. No better choir director our there. His experience can't be beat, and you can't help but smile in his class everyday! he will keep you working and entertained.

Axel is awesome. He is an amazing choral director with an unimaginable wealth of knowledge and experience. He connects well with the students and guides students from sometimes senseless bellowing to beautiful music making. I have absolutely NOTHING bad to say about him.
