Professor Borron assigns a heavy workload!!! There is so much homework in this class, however she is a very sweet lady and extremely helpful. Besides the fact that there is a ton of homework, she is very passionate about writing and she is helpful. Don't take this class if you want an easy A, she will make you work hard.

Professor Brenda Borron is a really good professor. She is always there to answer any questions that you may have and tries to help you out as much as possible. She does assign a lot of assignments, but they are doable if you keep up with them. Take advantage of the writing center and don't wait until the last minute (she says this often)

Honestly the best teacher since high school. Not always clear about instructions however, If you ask you will get an answer! Prompts were good and interesting. Expect busy work, I mean BUSY! It might seem like a lot, but creating rough drafts is the best formula for great essays! ENJOY HER CLASS!!

I love Prof. Borron she is an amazing teacher & person. Sure, Irvine Valley College has other great Professors but in all honesty she is the best. This is because her ambition to teach was shown from the first day of class until the very end which is something I admire. Yes, she gave a lot of hw but it was worth it because I learned sooooo much.

I had Prof. Borron for WR 201 & again for WR 1. She is an AMAZING instructor. One of the best at Irvine Valley College however, if you are looking for an easy "A" this class is not for you. I received a "C" in 201 & "B" in WR 1. Although tough, she truly cares about her students & has taught her students that everyone can exceed their expectations.

Professor Brenda Borron is an incredible teacher. If you work hard and don't slack you'll pass this class with a high grade. I was a bit skeptical when reading some of the reviews here but let me tell you if you want a good teacher take her! She really cares about her students and the class. Be prepared and the rest of the semester will be great.

Professor Borron is a wonderful professor. She is a little older but she is super sweet and she has a lot of experience. I definitely improved my writing by taking her class. If you take her class make sure you take into consideration the amount of work that is necessary to get an A in the class, but other than that you learn a lot in this class.

Prof. Borron gives a TON of work. If you proscrastinate you will have endless amounts of work. I wouldn't say the class is hard, it just takes time.i do recommend taking it but she expects nothing but respect from you, one little slip up like slacking off or skipping class and she'll treat you like a high school student watching everything you do.

DON'T TAKE HER! Endless amount of work and you won't be able to catch up. I'm an "A" student who got a "C" on her stupid trillion grading score! if u want to keep ur GPA up don't take her or only take her class in the whole semester. There is a diff. between giving assignments that help u and overwhelming u which affects ur other classes

I've got admit there is a lot of work in this class and there is a giant grading scale. Despite this, always take advantage of her office hours and the writing center. Why? Not only will she tell you exactly what she wants to see when you write, but she will offer you a ton of extra credit on each assignment when you denote it on the prompts

I LOVE PROFESSOR BORRON! She is the sweetest lady ever and she is always willing to help you. Lots of work for a 201 writing class, but the points do add up, which is a good thing! She's one of the best WR teachers I've ever had! She truly cares for her students and is willing to help you! If you complete everything she asks for you'll get an A. However, she does give a lot of work, so if you don't do homework your grade will drop. As long as you complete everything you're good to go. A MUST TAKE!:D I LOVED HER!!!!
