If you want real and in depth philosophy, this is where you get it. Babich will give you the original texts of Philosophers and expects you to have read the majority of the readings. She appreciates your own enthusiasm for the class and asking her questions. She is a continental philosopher and is a fresh of breath air in a world of analytics

charming, hilarious, BRILLIANT. if you love philosophy, take her, she will expand your mind. she is the fairy godmother of philosophy. one of fordham's true gems, especially within the dept. readings are difficult, but well explained, albeit in a somewhat abstract manner.

She is absolutely the best professor at Fordham! She was so helpful and kind to our class, I will never forget it. The class is not easy and you will need to be very well prepared, so be ready to read a lot.

Absolutely amazing professor. One of the few that both cares about the material and her students. Wonderful. I took her last semester of my senior year, but I would have taken her multiple times had I known what I was missing! A truly remarkable professor! One of the (very rare) gems in Fordham!!!!

If you are expecting an easy class, this isn't it. But if you welcome a challenge, jump right in! Prof. Babich brings intelligence, analysis and dry with to her lectures. Most of all, I respected the fact that she spoke to each student -- even the ones who were totally lost and confused -- with respect and validation.

I had Dr. Babich for several classes nearly 10 years ago. I later got my Ph.D. in something else, and while clearing out my NYC appt for an overseas position I found a class paper. She's tough, but one of those teacher's who opens your mind so much that you end up realizing you saved notes and papers from her class 10 years later. Take her classes!

Babich is SO intimidating. She is very intelligent and witty, but I can barely follow her lectures nor summon the nerve to tell her when I do not understand. Take her if you're smart.

This is going to sound weird, but when I first sat down in her class I was terrified mostly because of what a friend told me about her, but wow was my friend every wrong! Babich is a terrific professor, she is so clear in her explanations and she really helps you out if you need her. take her class, you will learn SO much from her about philosophy!
