Dr. Datta is THE BEST! HIs class is very easy if you do the work. HIs lectures can be long and confusing but just do the notes because before the exam he will tell you what to focus on. Homework and attendance is for extra credit. He is very funny and a kind man, take him if you want an A!

Dr. Datta is a really sweet man. Vert friendly and caring to all students. However, he does not use blackboard, so you have to contact him to know your grade. Lectures are sometimes overwhelming as Dr. Datta is a genius and sometimes goes overboard with the detail and level he teaches at.

Overall this class was pretty easy, but he has a very strong accent and its hard to understand him sometimes. You have to take really good notes in the class because he does not put anything online. Tests were pretty easy for the most part. Attendance is 20 bonus points as well as doing homework. Also he never puts any grades in blackboard.

Dr. Datta is passionate about Biochem and he truly wants the students to learn the material and learn how to implement them and not just memorize stuff for the exam sake. He is such a brilliant professor that does not make you feel stupid for asking a question he will come down to your level and explain things in office hours for you. Love him!!!!

Dr. Datta was an excellent professor. Although he was hard to understand at times and his writing on the board was not always clear, he was pretty funny and obviously cared that you learned the material and did well in the class. Attendance is mandatory. Tests are hard and require you to memorize everything. Would take again.

Super great! I took chemistry twice, because I got a C- The first time, but with Datta I got an A. There were ten 10 point home works, and then either 3 or 4 exams!! Each class we did notes, and before exam we would do one day of review. He takes random attendance, but it can only help, not hurt.

Dr. Datta is without a doubt the smartest man at Kent State. If you take good notes and study them, you will not only get a good grade, but you will learn an amazing amount of biochemistry.

Datta is honestly the best professor I've had. He knows what he is talking about, and he makes his lectures applicable to life and nursing specific scenarios. The exams are just like the notes, so you have to go to class and pay attention. I am usually terrible at anything chemistry related, but he made it understandable and enjoyable.

I hated him on the first week of classes. However, I've learned to like him and I'm sad I won't have class with him anymore. If all professors were as straightforward as Dr. Datta, life would be easier. Study your notes, practice the structures/mechanisms and you will do well. I would recommend him to anyone who genuinely wants to learn biochem

Dr. Datta is the sweetest man alive. He is genuine and hilarious. His accent can be hard to understand at times, but everyone gets used to it quickly. He gives homework as extra credit and it is easy, so do it. He was never in a bad mood for my class, always happy. I enjoyed going to class twice a week.

By far the hardest class I have ever taken, but by far the most interesting. He is the sweetest professor I have ever had and is willing to help if his students are confused. Be prepared to memorize notes. Do not get behind on that. The exams start off medium level then go to impossible, but there is an insane amount of extra credit! Good luck!

Know your front and back, and studying to memorize every single detail is painful. However, I didnt even mind because of how much I enjoyed Dr. Datta. Beyond that, sit back and enjoy a master at work. Datta is brilliant, kind, and funny. If given the option, I absolutely recommend himhes probably my favorite professor at Kent State.

Professor Datta gives many opportunities for extra credit. It can bring your grade up two letter grades if you do all of it correctly. Although, going to class is a must. He's very clear on what is on the exam and is very approachable. GO TO SI!!!! Loved him!!

Dr. Datta is the best! I was super nervous going into the class because of his thick accent, but once he starts teaching it is much easier to understand him. His lectures are super straight forward, and test questions come straight from the lecture. He also offers extra credit for coming to class, and for doing the homework. I definitely recommend!
