All homework is reading, and 3 books were required for the class. All take-home assignments, including the mid-term and final. No tests, but it was purely writing assignments. The only complaint I have is that she had a habit of posting homework VERY late, the night before it was due. I'm talking 8:30-9:30 at night for a 9:30 AM class. Sweet lady!

Dilly is never clear on what is due and when. The syllabus will change probably 4 times over the course of the semester. Don't take 316 with Dilly if you're just trying to meet a requirement, she expects a lot out of you. She expects graduate level research for students who are just trying to pass. Great woman, but terrible professor.

Dilly's class requires five books and each class period you have question(s) to answer about the book in a discussion format. She's got one paper assignment where you apply a theory to a lit review (sound possible to you?) and she gives you a week between the outline and final paper to finish the 20 page paper. She's unclear about deadlines.

Unbelievable amount of work for a self-described "easy" summer class. Had to drop it once due to an internship and retake it the following summer. Subjective grader as well. Got a different grade on the same assignment submitted a year later with points taken off in different categories... what?! She also gives extremely obscure instructions.

Each class there is a reading homework assignment. The articles you read can be long and hard to understand but she explains them very well. Class participation is a must each day, but the discussions are interesting and engaging. Online Discussion participation is fairly easy and not very often. Midterm and Final are take home, no tests or quizzes

I have Dr. Dilly for a graduate level class and I think she's great. Very understanding with time issues, repsonds to emails promptly, and fair in grading. I don't get all of these critical reviews, unless maybe it's 1st year undergrads who expect a high school workload? And eccentric? Of course, she teaches anthropology!

Workload is way too much for the class. I spent all my time working on her homework and was given little direction on said homework assignments. I think over the course of the semester, I have easily written over 100 pages for each of the classes I took from her. If you like a lot of busy work, take her but otherwise AVOID!

UGH this woman is frustrating. We learned nothing and no one understood what was going on. She had ridiculous expectations for seemingly "easy" assignments which didn't make sense. Everything you do in class isn't even graded, it's all out of class assignments, but you lose 5% off your grade each time you miss class. Don't take unless you have to.

Expects quite a lot of reading, writing, and online participation, though the online time is flexible. Work load was excessive but worse was her unavailability. Very slow at returning emails if she does it at all. Good choice of text and readings.

Super easy and enjoyable. This whole thing with her having favorites I can't tell at all. Class participation is done through online responds to questions she gives via blueline so u don't even have to speak in class.

HAS FAVORITES! if you are not a favorite, she basically ignores your comments. has 10 reading quizzes. Has 2 tests with 50 point take home essay and a 50 point 5 in class essays. A LOT of reading! Pick the other teacher for sure.

A nice lady, however, she does give a lot of readings and occasional quizzes. Also, she gives you two papers in the introduction class. She prefer her favorites and if you don't talk often and you give an example, she will nod her head and go onto the next person. Just read and take notes even if she is difficult to listen to and you will do fine.

She makes you read a lot and gives occasional quizzes on the readings, but you can just BS the answers and get 4 out of 5. Just make sure you read the books for the tests and papers. She gives you the questions. I slept through every class and am getting an A so far. Crazy teacher though, def not afraid to make a fool of herself in class.

Unrealistic work load. Made us buy a $125 dollar book that was 115 pgs. because she had one chapter written by her in it. She supposes you are only taking her class and therefore assigns an unbelievable amount of reading (5 books plus multiple lengthy handouts in 5 weeks). I love the subject but the way it is treated turns me off.

Dilly is a rude professor is disconnected from her students. After claiming that the class evaluations do not matter at the end of the course because she has aquired tenure tells all about her personality/teaching style. Don't take her unless you MUST!

the class is an easy A if you do the work, participate, and see her out of class. It helps to take this class with a friend or two because that way you can split up work and share ideas. she claims to not have favorites anymore. 2 take home test and 2 big papers that help boost your grade a lot. not too bad of a class in my opinion
