Dr. Buedel is one of the better professors I've had during my undergrad. She definitely pays attention to the amount of effort that individual students put in - and this is reflected in her grading. She definitely likes to keep track of what students are doing. She even schedules meetings w/students as part of the class.

She is very unapproachable. I was too intimidated to ask her any questions. Also, when she says something in spanish and you don't get it.. too bad because she only explains it in spanish.

Buedel has strict no English policy. She requires at least 45 min of homework each night although the answers to the textbook are online. There is a quiz or test almost every other class and she grades pretty hard in my opinion. When she lectures you if you don't know Spanish you will not understand. Instead of explaining she uses more Spanish.

Dra. Buedel is amazing at what she does. She is here everyday willing to help and really does care about every student. She got me on the track to minor in Spanish with my Business major. The exams are very hard, but I can honestly say I am learning a lot from her. Just try your best. Even though the exams are hard you can finish out with a B.

She is best defined as a "spanish nazi" by most of her students. She earned this nickname by expecting a lot (but fair) amount of work. She loves what she does and often stays on campus working into the early morning hours. Do what you're supposed to be doing, and don't slack off, & you'll be fine.
