She kept saying throughout the semester that the test weight is the same as big projects. She doesn't bother put your grades on blackboard so you pretty much don't know what you have. I did really really good onthe big projects and got 10/10 on almost all of my essays only failed two tests my grade was F at the end of the semester. HARD TESTS!!!!!!

I took this class last term. I got a 0 on an 80point assignment and when I talked to her there was nothing that could be done. Her material is extremely outdated or blatantly wrong. I would not recommend this class.

She is a poor grader, she takes points off for the simplest things and even if you misspell word she will deduct a point. Plus if you get there late she will not take your essays. Her class is so outdated, and so boring.

Mrs. Fletcher's class is all about presentation, every test is all based on every lecture that is based on the slide shows she present. Every test is based on the slide shows she presents every two weeks. First week of class, she will make you write an essay about yourself. I do not recommend here class, unless you want to be in a High school class

Overall the work is not hard. It's more busy work than anything else. Follow directions and you'll be fine! You need to book for one project where you'll have to cite page numbers. Print out the chapter power points online and you won't have to take many notes. Tests come straight from power point and Essays are so easy. Plenty of extra credit

She isn't very clear on her expectations and while she gives you a chance to improve your grade, she's not very clear on what needs improving. She also avoided Neo-Piagetians, something that made improvements on Piaget's work. Most of her information is also outdated.

Comment:

Mrs Fletcher is very nice and to the point. Her lectures are mostly power point, and she shows some short video clips and comic strips. The essays are extremely easy since they are mostly just your opinion on the topic she presents you with, and the tests are exactly what she provides on the study guide. If you show up to class you pass!

She is a cute old lady, and has some old fashion humor. She knows what she wants, she tells you what she wants, give her what she wants and you will pass. PowerPoint lectures every day, some paragraph long assignments. The tests correspond exactly with the notes, study your notes and you will pass.

Tough grader... she took points off for the simplest things. If you're late to class, she doesn't accept essays that she assigns. I was late once and she refused to accept an essay (and was very rude about it). I wouldn't recommend taking her, she's not sympathetic towards students and their effort. Only plus is she drops lowest test grade.

The whole semester i thought it was an okay class because she was a very sweet old lady. It wasn't until the end of the semester that I realized how unfair and careless she is. She gave me a ZERO on a 100 point project because of minor details. I tried talking to her to see if I could get partial credit and she refused. I don"t recommend her class!

Her class was the EASIEST i've taken at grossmost so far. She has all the powerpoint notes on Blackboard and her tests are directly from the notes. Not only that but she gives a ton of extra credit questions on every test.

VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD TEACHER. RARELY EVER USED THE BOOK! THE TEST QUESTIONS CAME DIRECTLY OFF THE POWERPOINT SO MAKE SURE TO TAKE NOTES. DO THE ESSAYS AS SHE DIRECTS YOU TO AND YOU WILL PASS.

Most of what she taught was based on the lectures she created this class was fun and interesting, what to expect tests are based on lectures and follow specific instructions for any paper you write or you will get a zero. If you pay attention and do things following her specific instructions for the major essays you will do fine.

Her class is is not difficult. If you pay attention to the notes and come to class you will be absolutely fine. her tests are directed from the notes. she gives lots of mini essays thats are super easy b/c they are mostly your opinion. pay attentntion and come to class and i guarantee that you cant fail her class.
